You guys in the south be careful. Time for tornados and hurricanes!

1bad, sorry to tell you, but reports were 1/2 mile wide, and yes the system wiped out quite a bit, but while one was hitting in tuscaloosa, it was a different one almost wiped our son off the road and took out a lot in harvest, and about an hour later one was wiping out the civic center and other things in rainsville, al, where 25 died in a trailer park. It wasn't one, just one storm system that produced more tornadoes than where believable. Our daughter's friends house is gone, several businesses in the area, it is unreal. We sent the kids to nashville to try to escape some of the crap that will happen. No power for 5 -7 days. The water in some places is out. This system was the same system that dropped a tornado in dallas. The flooding is bad. I am sorry, I just don't want someone to think the same tornado ran 200 miles on the ground, because it just didn't.
Btw, we met lady k and klingon. Sorry to have talked y'alls ears off.Lady K Thanks this. -
I ran over 9k miles in a month and was told not enough for the idle bonus and that's not the Cole in Conley and i cannot changeout turbos, replace major parts or find a/c refrigerant leaks in a rig and neither can the shop in Conley so i don't think taking care of the truck was an issue. I found a company that pays .35 actual miles + issued a credit card to fuel where and when i want and pay for motels and food with no governor on the tractor all drop/hook loads no qualcomm no pressure or suprises super nice folks in a recessionproof industry. I am a good driver who acts very professional but was treated like trash by the management at Central and some of the night/weekend dispatchers in Salt Lake. I just wanted to inform anyone that might be thinking about going with Central and anyone already there that if you look hard enough you can find a much better outfit to drive for. Loyalty to your boss is an admirable thing but considering how low the pay is and my personal experiences, i find it to be kinda puzzling. Good luck to all and stay safe.
Raincatcher Thanks this. -
9K miles in a month.................
Are you semi-retired ?? -
9k was a good month at Central for me and that was with 3 days at home during that month had constant truck/trailer problems terrible loads like anything out of Smithfield in Tar Heel, NC and Barry Chebault in Vermont where you take US 10 thru 40+ little towns at 35 mph worked my butt off for those miles and the only good i can get from all of it is i feel like i've died and gone to heaven with my new job make more $$$ treated great, i mean truly appreciated and home 4 nights a week heck they even have a guy wash the truck.

I'm looking at a 9k month myself. What's killing me is getting these 300 mile loads with 3 days to deliver and "unchangeable" appointment times.
Any advice fellow drivers? -
