My Experiance with Watkins Shepard!

i get .275cpm
$20-$25 PER STOP
$5 every time i disconect from a trailer ANYWHERE other then a Terminal
$100/month tutution reinbursement
$*** Fuel Bonus
$500 Holiday Bonus

I run between 2500 and 4000 miles a week, and with the lower weeks have LOTS of stops.

went and got loaded and drove from PA down here to Raleigh, NC and am now sitting on the side of the street waiting for my 8am apt....

I actully got through DC at RUSH HOUR and NEVER not ONCE dropped below the speed limit!!!!!!!!!!

I should have taken a picture because it will NEVER happen again haha

Anyway just had me some roast beef (canned) and now to get some sleep before people start knocking on my door telling me to move (not gonna happen)

So today was unproductive but non the less and nice day.

I was awoken at 630 am by the customer asking if i wanted to be unloaded and since he had already woken me up i said yes lol. And backed in.

As I was pulling onto the property i had a prime truck following me....

So i stop get up open my doors setup and back in. All the while the prime driver is stareing at me....


So after i back in he pulls forward just like i did and got out and tried to open the trailer doors, meanwhile i was doing my trip envolope and when i saw him stuggleing to open them i figured he was new and told him to open the left door so that would pry the stuck right door open and wala it worked.

Then he came over and asked how he should back in and i told him and he did it without hitting me, took him a few minutes but he got it and was straight.

Then he came over to talk and we ended up talking for a few hours while i was waiting for my 10 to be over and while he was waiting for his "trainer" to wake up and do something.

He was "new" to prime, he's 25 and has been driving trucks since he was 18 like me but had only been local with a few over night trips. Anyway he wa totally new to the whole 53" trailer and doors thing lol

Anyway after hours of that, i went to thomasville to grab some stuff to take back to conover sat there while they were on lunch break then got my load an was off.

Then get to conover back in and ran into MDub again, then dropped my trailer and bobtailed around to the building and see Walstib, Axe, and 30+ other W/S drivers and O/O's waiting for a load.


Then I got a AWESOME load, going to Kansas City, KS for a 04:30am monday morning delivery so i came home for the night.

Truck is all hooked to the trailer, paper work and QC messages all done, pre trip done ready to roll out in the morning.


And just before i left the terminal JerzyDevil texted me he'd be there in 30 minutes and be there all weekend so I'm gonna wake him up in the morning on my way out to meet him! haha

Since I went back out on the road last monday at 12:45am I've run 2400 miles and this load is 950miles so 3350+/- for the week + 2 stops and Muiltiple trailer drops!


Oh and to Ryevick, as of 04/15/11 for 2011 (so 3.5 months into the year my pay stub says I've made $14,537 so far....so thats not even a 1/3 of the year yet but multiply that number by 3= $42,000+

OH and I got an E-mail today, some college student wants to Interview me....we'll see how that goes. lol Not sure what I have to offer him but i guess i'll find out haha

Got back to conover at 5am and hung out with JerzyDevil for about and hour.

While I was at home last night, he cleaned, rainXed my windsheild, and buffed and polished my lights. Looks GREAT! And thanks again.


Then I woke axe up, and we rolled out at 6:15 this morning, stoped for fuel, then i lost him on black mountain he got stuck behind a slow poke, then i stoped at a rest area and axe thinking i was long gone stopped as well, and we ran back into each other. His radio wasnt working right and i thought it was a Mic and since I had an extra one, i gave it to him and that turned out to be the problem, then we hit the road again.

Stopped for lunch, and then ran up here to the Loves in Ina, IL. We drove 598 miles. And added a 3rd W/S truck to the conovoy for the last hour or so we had 3 W/S trucks in a row and all came to the same TS lol.


Anyway we'll roll back out in the morning i only have 350ish miles left to go tomorrow so 5.5 hours and im done.
