I tell you guys one thing--it's nice to read positive posts from people who are making good decisons. I think Roehl is a good company, and all you guys who are going there are flying right. Good luck to you all.
I won't say I've got tears in my eyes, but it is really nice to know the rotten companies aren't going to get their hooks in you guys.

I went to their school in January and they put me up in a motel called the old dutch in. It was $350 for the 3 weeks, it has a queen (double?) size bed, microwave coffee pot, refridgerater/freezer, cabinets, small counter area, 2 sinks, full bath tv/remote with very basic cable, couch and a table with chairs, it is very cozy. It is about 3 miles from roehl and right there close to shopping.

Looks like I'm good to go, Had my DOT physical done and will be getting my CDL permit when I get home. I'll be in the 30 July class. Anyone else in the 30 July class? If so I'll see you there. Only thing that I'm facing is where to park the truck on my day off, My recruiter said If I can't find a place to park then I'll have to drop it off at the closest yard which is Akron,OH which is about 140 miles away from me, So If anyone has any ideas on where to park let me know or if someone is around the Toledo,OH area and know of a place would help me out grately. I would like to go out to different bussiness to see where I could park but I'm stationed here at Fort Knox, KY and won't leave untill 20 July.
Thanks,

CAC, you can probably find a place around your hometown to park. I assume this doesn't have to be "secure" parking. If it does need to be secure, I guess you'll have to get used to the 140-mile one-way trip home. That shouldn't be too bad, though. I remember I used to commute 120 miles one way at one outfit. Of course, gas was a dollar a gallon then.

How many weeks roehl school?
-
Is there a truck stop near you. I have talked to a lot of people who park at the truck stop and have thier spouse pick them up and then drop them back off when it is time to go back out. I have been to the Yard there in Akron. It is secure and it looks like a lot of people park there cars there while they are out in the truck. You have to have your Roehl Id to open the gate.
Good luck,
