I hope I got this to the right area, on the forum, as I was going to send this to Dino, for him to get it posted for me on the forum, as I don't have all of your e mail address, and wanted to thank each of you, on behalf of Southern Pride, myself and his family.
First I want to Thank Dino, for being such a great friend, to JR. He was so proud when Dino got his "big" truck, and he brought it by the house, for him to see. He waited outside, like a child at Christmas, so excited, it was moments in time, that I have a mental picture of him, so happy, and not feeling bad. I can never thank Dino enough for caring about an old trucker, his advice, sometimes taken and sometimes used, made him feel like the man he was.
As you all know, I lost the love of my life, Southern Pride, 041011, and since then, all the cards, the beautiful flowers and messages of comfort, sent by all of you on the forum, was truly wonderful.
When I got home last night, in the mail, there was another beautiful card, along with a personal money order, that left me crying and speechless. That all of you, to take your time and donate money, for me, in memory of Southern Pride, even though you did not know him personally as Dino did, he would have been so honored, as I am.
I can go into the computer room, and still see him sitting at his computer, talking with all of you.
He was so proud, when you all made him trucker of the month, and even laughed, when he got called on, for his spelling. Some asked for advice, and he always had an answer, as in life, not always the answer wanted, but given when asked. I thank you all for that also. It made him feel that he was still part of the trucking business and a man still.
Again, Thank You does not seem to cover all that you have done, and if there is ever anything I can do, please call on me.
Till then, May God Keep You ALL in the Palm of his Hands.

Mrs SP,
Until Now I have not said a whole lot about SP, as I had just laid my Uncle to rest after a 11 year battle with Multiple Mylo ma ( sure I spelled that wrong) and knowing all that SP was going through it has not been something I wanted to deal with..
SP and I thought a lot alike, when I joined this site I read almost all of his Post, and blogs... He reminded me so much of my own Father, misspelling, brutally honest, but a genuine hard working man... I took everything he said to heart and over the last month I have revisited a lot of SP threads.. I can only hope and pray that the Admins on TTR would put all of SP threads in an area for those of us to read in the future, as he shared more information with folks on here than most....
I am not sure what to say to you other than I am really grateful that you shared your Husband with all of us on here and that his advice is priceless and gratefully respected....
If at any time in the future there is anything I can do to help the woman who was married to such a great man if you let me know I will do what I can to make it happen..
I continue to pray for you and your family and can only hope that you want or need for nothing in life.....
God Bless Mrs SP and the rest of your Family.....shriner75, teddy_bear6506, dino6960 and 6 others Thank this. -
I am very sorry I never got the pleasure and honor to meet the man and the legend. Eveyone here says he was a great guy and one of the most professional drivers still left on the road. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Sorry for your loss

First of all, Mrs SP, I wish I could reach out and hug the stuffing out of you.
Throughout SP's battle, Dino kept us updated not only on your love, but also on you. You became a part of the family here. While JR is no longer here to share with us, we have you to tell us stories about his times on the road, and also how you are doing.
I hope and pray you'll stay in touch with us here. Through Dino, I feel I've come to know you, also. And friends are always a good thing to have.
Take care Betty. ~Hugs~

I think SP was kind of a father figure to all of us who had tough, straight shooting truckers for dads. I lost mine a few years ago at 57 and reading SP's posts always made me feel nostalgic

My prayers go out to you Mrs. SP
Just now, I have found out about your loss. I was just getting to know, so to speak, Mr SP when he got sick. I was keeping up and all but than switched jobs...been busy eversince. I really hate to hear about his passing, he was from my dads generation of truckers and believe me, I respect that generation. Please except my well wishes and prayers...God Bless you and your family..Southern Prides Wife Thanks this.
