I work for a small Texas based company, 30 or so trucks. Weekends off, usually off early on Fridays, sometimes Thursday evening.
When I came to work on Monday, I found that a little fuel saving elf came in over the weekend and turned all the trucks down to 62 MPH. Previously most of the trucks were unlimited and some were at 74 MPH.
Nothing to compensate for the reduction in speed / additional time it will take to do the same job as far as $$ is concerned.
HOWEVER, now we are on a plan that will award "points" for good MPG. These "points" are redeemable for for "prizes" or "rewards".
I can hardly wait to claim my ##### toaster.

Wait and see how they adjust to longer average trip times, and log legally. They hit you in the pocketbook....make sure it's reciprocated.

Sorry to hear. But I'm kinda skeptical they just did this out of the blue.

Gee, my truck is not governed, only rev limited and I drive between 62 and 64 miles per hour. Pay for the fuel yourself and you'll suddenly understand!
