I don't know except to say you wouldn't benefit nearly as much as a 29. They work best on those. That's to say you're not going to add 75 watts to your PEP.
I haven't heard what they do on other radios but with a DK and swing like that I doubt many people have put them on a general lee. I could be wrong tho. I DK at 18 and swing to 95 PEP with it on my 29. I've heard of 29s swinging as high as 135 watts but I suspect how ever that was done may have caused distortion too and mine was setup the way it was to avoid that problem.
Talked to a guy today 10 miles out (he had an amp) and I periodically ask how my radio sounds to people because I also have the TRB3 echo on just enough to get a little of that big radio sound and he said I was loud and very clear. I get the same answer from everyone I ask.

yea i know the omegaforces come with them already installed when u buy them and they put out about 95 watts so i would most likely just to about 80 actual watts im assuming. but then again none of that really matters when my swr's are high lol

1.8 isn't that bad. What do you have for an antenna and mount and where is it mounted and what kind of truck and what are you using for coax?

I wanted to add enough power to get heard but not walk all over everyone and didn't want the added equipment or hassle of an amp and the RFX75 fit the bill nicely on my 29. I quite pleased with the setup I have. It gets me heard and has good quality audio.
The general lee comes stock with enough watts to be heard and quality audio. I wouldn't add the RFX75 to it.

I think some radios are difficult to get the SWR lower than others. I once had a Cobra 148 GTL and a Uniden PC68LTW both fed into a 102 whip using a 9 ft. piece of RG8X coax. 1.2:1 SWR's all day long both radios. Then I swapped over to a Ranger SS158EDX using the same coax and same antenna....and 1.7:1 was the best I could ever get it.

Yeah I always want perfect too. Had to settle for a little under 1.3 on 1 and 40 and 1.2 in the middle. For some reason it was a slightly higher until I went to the 5' version of the very same antenna, the FGT. Not sure why tho.
If I were to take a guess I'd say it's a ground thing with yours. Have you tried grounding the mirror to the upper door hinge and the upper door hinge to the lower and then to the frame using ground straps?

I was told that it is a waste of time putting them on a dual final 10-meter radio.

I can't speak for the General Lee, but I installed one on a Connex 3300 single final, and it only puts out 60 watts, plus it gets way too hot.

The best luck I have had was with the Cobra 25 and 29. I just installed one for a driver on a Cobra 29 LTD Chrome and it was modulating a little over 125 watts.

The 29 was checked on a brand new watt meter that read great when checking a Messenger 250 watt amp.

Save you're money on the RFX-75 and get your match down to 1.1:1. You'll be better with fixing that match that you will be with those few extra watts of PEP.
