Sorry ya got a ticket Injun. At least it won't break the bank.
Speaking of tickets, watch it in Indiana. I got pulled in for a level 3 inspection (driver & documentation) near a tollbooth. Make sure your permit book is up to date!!! Everything I had was up to date and correct....
Thank you Injun for the logging tips that you gave me last month, as I actually received a compliment from the officer regarding my daily logs.

All my trucks had air suspension guages in the cab. I even had my T800 with a Larger style guage mounted on the headache rack so that when I hauled an excavator and caterpillar etc. all I had to do is glance at the guage and at 70 PSI. my drives were dead on.
Injun and The Challenger Thank this. -
the in-dash gauge sounds like a great tool. i've got just over 3000 lbs in the box and it's been freaking me out not knowing what my axle weights are. i finally scaled at the terminal in edwardsville just so i can sleep at night. sure will be glad to get rid of this load.

until you get over 15,000lbs at least i wouldnt worry unless its all sitting right on one axle or somthing.

You probably saved me some money today!
I read your post last night, I picked up a heavy load today and went to the CAT scale, I was way over on my drives so I slid the trailer tandems and re-weighed. I was over on my tandems now! So I made a slight adjustment and got legal after I went through the scale for a third time!
Never had to scale a load 3 times but I wasn't leaving till I knew for sure!
Grossed out at 79,500 with a half a tank of fuel! The Challenger and Injun Thank this. -

Injun Thanks this. -
Sorry you got a ticket. But it happens to the best of us when you live on the road 24/7.
The key words in your post are you made a second pick up. Whenever you make multiple pickups means you have unlike freight. You can throw the 300 lb hole thing out the window. Especially if the first pick is heavy and crammed in the nose. I have made the second pick up rearrange things for me. Do your homework on your pallet weight and go from there. 38K you can normally slide and go, but multiple pickups you have to be a little extra careful.
Injun got a ticket, Injun got a ticket, nah nah a nah nahInjun and panhandlepat Thank this. -
I told her to scale out before she headed out....but i guess she was in too much of a hurry to get somewhere

No idea where that might have been or for what purpose....
