I am curious,,does anyone have any idea what happens durring the type of mission that Seal Team 6 completed? I will tell you...NO! There are sooooo many "what-ifs" durring the initial setup of this type of mission. Hell, just do research on Recon alone.. I have trained on all aspects of these types of missions, from Recon, to the actual Breach. There is sooo much involved and Frago's happen daily and sometimes hourly. These soldiers trained their arses off, believe me and even then,,there were a million things that could have changed everything in a split second. As a soldier, you try to plan for everything you can possiably think of but, you just can't. SEAL's are the best and they can do it better than anyone. Because I know what they went thru, I give them the biggest ATTABOY, that can be given. We will NEVER know what truley happened, they will live with that for the rest of their lives.. STOP believing the crap you read,,,my dad taught me something that I live by to this day,,,"Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see". Start planning, if you haven't already, for the day that we all know is coming. Be ready to protect your family and take care of them,,, Think of the movie; Madd Max. By the way, there are two types of Breaches done on a resident or building...without getting too technical, one is "kill anything that moves" and the other isn't... As for the beers,,"chug, chug, chug".

Although I am only a "Former" member of the 82nd Airborne Division, and though we were at the time I was in to hit fast, and hit hard,(Light Infantry)we were trained to kill, and that was all...I agree with your summation;Navy Seals are the BEST...We went on a training exercise with them once..-they were, really, out of this world..Glad brave young men and women still feel the need to test themselves;the U.S. is safer for this..simplyred1962 and 'olhand Thank this.

Bloggers... let me explain my position and why I can't put a lot of stock in a blogger's opinions or writings.
I've been an expert witness in lemon law and dealer fraud cases since March 2001. I took a hiatus from June 2007-Feb 2011 as I rolled along in the trucking industry. That time gave me additional qualifications to be able to work on trucking cases.
With that said, in EVERY trial, mediation, arbitration or deposition I've been involved with, these cases sourced from over 8,100 in which I've given opinions... I've had to go step by step over my qualifications, background, education, how many cars/trucks I've bought and sold, how I came to be involved in the case, my relationship with the lawfirm, AND how I know each and every client and their vehicle...
All of that... usually an hour or two, just to be able to speak in court on a report I've already written, that every party has read... JUST to be able to make verbal statements and answer questions... and give further opinions.
In the medical and science worlds, their experts go through 10 times as much as I do in order to opine.
So.... too late to make a long story short... all you need to be a "blogger", is to have a web page, or supported site where you write stuff... one step higher than Facebook or Myspace... that's all you need to "blog"... that's IT. And people can read your words, as they now think you're an EXPERT... and take it as the Gospel.
You know the difference between a blogger and a true expert? An expert gets paid for his opinion (like me), and is usually published, and NOT in the form of a blog.popmartian Thanks this. -
all those who blame the current president for our conditions, should first realize that the government satisfies their best interest first. it doesn't matter if they're republican or democrat.
HFC Thanks this. -
I really CANNOT believe this is still being discussed and/or it is being questioned anywhere by anyone--kinda like that rant by Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men--can't quote it all right now--BUT
Bottom line=Before you lay your ##### down to sleep tonight--be VERY THANKFUL there are men like these out there--making sure you CAN lay your head down tonight--because they are out there takin care of Business for you and yours
GOD BLESS THE AMERICAN MILITARY and all they are willing to sacrifice for us--
and while you are at it--Don't forget--it is there dedication to DUTY--and to uphold the constitution--that allows us to have these discussions--in a free society
JUST MY $.02!!!notarps4me Thanks this. -
I am very grateful to our military and support them 100%. What I don't support is the government that is pushing them into every country that has a leader that we don't like. The reason the military is and will always be supported by the people is because they are the people. The government is not the people, they care of there selves first they don't care that gasoline cost $4.00 a gallon, they don't care that the roads are crap, they don't care that the unemployment rate just went up again. All the gooberment cares about is keeping themselves rich! Do some research, stand up for yourselves!! DONT GIVE UP ALL YOUR FREEDOMS AND LIBERTIES !simplyred1962 Thanks this.
