You Will NOT Quit!!!
You are spending too much time with this when you should be concentrating on why you are there. As truckers and other professionals, we sometimes have to have thick skin. This is your dream, your goal. Do you think Southern Pride ever quit?
Concentrate on your goals.
You can do this.
You WILL do this!

Regardless of what your future holds, do not give up at this stage or give in to the taunts of others. You have come very far and you have a lot to be proud of, but any time you quit it just makes taking that route easier and easier in the future. I can promise you that you will not regret seeing this through to the end, but you will carry the regret forever if you quit.
Jarhed1964, The Challenger, inkeper and 2 others Thank this. -
I remember being at Parris Island, South Carolina for Marine Corps boot camp in the middle of summer (June, July, and August). The idea of just washing out and going home (the "seabag drag") came into my brain housing group several times. But I remember thinking to myself that I would never forgive myself for giving up on what several million others had done before me. At very least there were 20 or so other Privates in my platoon who were LESS capable than I was. There was no way I was going to let them become a Marine when I had just as much if not more ability than they did.
Point: You would be amazed at what humans are capable of. Just when you think your body and mind have reached the limit, somehow you pull more out of it. It makes you much much stronger. -
THIS!!! ^^^^^^^^ -
These guys are dog pecker gnats. Time to grow up and control your temper. If you leave I can guarantee they won't let you come back.
In the past 15 months I have dealt with much stupidity, laziness, and frustrations. My GF rode with me for 3 weeks and couldn't believe how disorganized things were. And how much free work I did.
I did what I did to get my experience level up to get somewhere else. 3 months to a year and you have many choices. Yet you are still always going to get mad and frustrated. I seldom let it come over the phone or Qcom.
Swift is an excellent stepping stone. You have MANY MORE CHALLENGES COMING! These guys don't pay your bills. Got a room to yourself? Cool.
Time to get tough or go home and apply at Wendy's. OOOOOPS! Wendy's will have the same crap! Any job will have the same crap.
I've been the EZ to piss off guy when I was your age. I'm not even autistic.
Stop looking for perfection. It ain't on this planet. Learn your skills and get rolling.
Running with your mentor is your next challenge.
When you go solo is your next.
You will be to the point of quitting ( I never was with my mentor) when solo. I had 3 friends to call to help make the right decisions. I seldom called my DM. She was puzzled until she found out I was handling it with good advisors. You have more phone numbers than I did.
Sorry to be so blunt. It doesn't get any easier for at least 4-9 months. Put in a year and make a sound choice.Gears, inkeper, 123456 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well today went the same except my afternoon went much better. The school instructors know what they are doing. They know it all. If you are a cdlholder like me, forgive everything. Time for straight line backing test tommorrow.

Glad to hear your afternoon went well. Keep it up....Keep it up!!

Hey Hunter, sorry I missed your call the other day. The fact is that I managed to get dragged into a project that has kept me hopping about 18 hours a day for the past few days. The end is in sight, and I'll give you a call when I get more time!
I think there has been a tremendous amount of good advice for you over this bullying situation. I know that you have a problem with it, and also with distinguishing between somebody joking and being serious.
A very wise man once said something that went sort of like this, "never put down to malice, what may have been done (or said) out of stupidity." Those aren't the exact words, but you should get the idea.
All through your life, you will run into situations where people are rude to you. But you really need to remember that this happens to all of us. There is not a member of this forum who has not run into people who are condescending and ignorant. It is just the way life is.
What you have to do, what we ALL have to do, is to learn to "consider the source," and just blow it off. If you can learn to just ignore people who try to rile you up, you will be much better off.
I'm not saying you should become a patsy. But most times, if bullies can't get a reaction from you, they will move on to somebody else that reacts the way they want them to. Remember, if you let them drive you away, THEY WIN! If you keep on plugging away and complete the class, then YOU WIN! And there is a good chance you will still be driving an 18 wheeler when they have wimped out of the industry and are flipping burgers, or working in construction, or a warehouse or where ever.JustSonny, The Challenger and Gears Thank this.
