Except he's right. If your smoking your brakes you were not paying attention. Just like the OP is biatching about the other drivers doing.
Tell me if he smoked them when a stale green light suddenly changed would it be the lights fault?
All that aside I do agree way stricter training standards are needed, and not that goofy crap they handed down the other day.

So the original poster is in the process of passing a 62 mph truck.... As he is starting his pass, the slower truck decides to change lanes without signaling......
How is that his fault? And how could paying attention stop it? -
No doubt there are issues man, but I appreciate that fact that you called in. If one of the drivers from the company I'm at pulls this on you rest assured they'll be talked to.
I do, of course it's in my car. Then I wait for an appropriate time to make my move, again being much easier as I can get to speed quicker. But yeah, if the same thing happens several times in a week and you haven't learned anything from it, then you are to blame. -
We can always expect YOU to blame the driver first...

I have been cut off by these morons too...They usually do it when your within about ten feet of them traveling 15 to 20 MPH faster than they are, Pay attention all you want but sometimes it's very difficult to compensate for these clowns! -
its all about reading the situation, I'm super paranoid so I just assume everyone is going to do something stupid. On the other hand I'm not paid by the mile.
-
His original post said in front of him. Clearly if they swerve into your lane in the same space you are occupying the other is in the wrong.
-
Read what it says next to my user name....dont stay in business for 27 years by frying tires. No its not the lights fault that it changed as it is an inanimate object. I never smoke em at lights,,,thats just stupid. Someone with all this gadgetry but no common sense,is a large hazard is my point. These companies involved all have in-house CDL schools and obviously they cannot make the distinction between a driver and an idiot with a CDL.

Meltom Thanks this. -
In your car?
In your CAR?
Spoken like a "No Driving Office Dweller!" -

No blame. Simply stating fact.
If it makes you feel any better I will concede people do it all the time. Four wheelers, coolie carriers, O/O's all groups have idiots that will pull out. Happens all the time heading into Blacksburg,Va to me. Doesn't cause me to smoke my brakes though.
Always plan on anyone around you doing the absolute stupidest thing you can think of. Part of the reason I remain mystified about people always driving in packs. I can not stand for others to be near me and make every effort traffic permitting to stay as far away from others as possible even when that means backing out of it for a few miles. -
ummm, yep.
in my car.
