I've complained to every agency I can think of LOL. I just want my money I worked for. I think that's a pretty reasonable request. Lesson learned though. Get everything in writing and watch out for the corn hole.

What are the markings/company lettering on the truck? Truck number? And you said you spoke with people from the company she leased to?
-
I would have poured a 5lb bag of sugar in both tanks of fuel. Give them there truck back. LOL

Coolant in the oil or something!

one other thought though, a person that has had as stroke does not necessarily lose his/her speech..... so the husband could indeed have had a stroke, maybe he just cant walk or use one of his arms...
this does not wash what you are going through, i'm just saying....
maybe she will mail you "guilt money"........ -
Actually her name wasn't on the truck just the company she leased to which is Cheiftain. I've always driven company trucks and never for an o/o but I thought their name was required to be on it too.?? It is truck 6265 It's a white 2003 volvo. actually a pretty nice truck. I'll give it that at least.

what's stopping you from taking any of these actions? Do you really think you will get paid in the long run? I would take what ever legal/civil actions you can. If you have any info on the company as you said you do I would NOT hesitate to call some big agency like the IRS.
As a few have posted you may 'win' in 'court' but never see a red cent of the money owed you and it could cost you even more. Happened to me-just cuz you win in small claims does not mean you will collect. -
It is a small claims matter and unfortunately, truck drivers are not covered by the state labor boards.
Any attorney involvement would require funds from him when he has stated that he has lost everything. -
Guido (in the North) or Bubba (in the South)...
