Awesome, remember that many locations in CA trucks stops are non-existent. Make sure you take a shower or anything else you want to do before you get into LA or the Bay Area. Also, a good idea to call the consignee and ask if they have a place you can park. Also nice to ask for a pre-assign before you deliver so you are not waiting around with nowhere to park.

Being sick and tired, literally, I evidently didn't hear my alarm and overslept......BUT I still delivered on time...YEAH!!!!!
Picked up a load from Fed Ex and took it to the drop yard......now waiting for a new pre-assign.wulfman75 Thanks this. -

Thanks Craig.......hope for many more years of safe driving.
Well, I'm headed for home in a very roundabout way.....getting loaded about 30 miles north, then going to Sterling, IL....then just a few miles east to Morrison, IL for a load, and then to St. James, MO......and then HOME!!!!!! My FM worked hard for me to get this together (his Boss had to put pressure on the Load Planner) and he put it in my file that I am to go home after delivering on Sunday morning. That load is a Walmart with an appt which tells me it's going to be a live unload....YUCK!!.....fortunately it's only about 170 miles from home.
He also has me set up to be in Springfield on the 30th for Trainer Class on the 1st. Now I will just have to see what can be done about getting to Tunnel Hill to get Sean on the truck.....LOLmarquardt72 Thanks this. -

I finished my first week of training..with all that happened I managed to get about 36 hours behind the wheel. My trainer had home time this weekend so they put me in a Days Inn in Forestpark, GA near the terminal...2 whole days of sleeping in a regular bed, tv and a shower and bathroom at my beckon call..This is a really nice break!! Trainer picks me up on Sunday morning. Things are getting much better for me, backing, turning, shifting and paper logs, all progressing nicely. Hope to get some good hours in next week. I think this training will be more like four weeks. That's ok, the more training the better!!
Have a great SAFE day everyone!!
