Now i am for 10 DAYS!

so I got up, after getting a whole 30 minutes of sleep, layed there for 7.5 hours couldnt sleep way to hot and bright in there.

Anyway so i go to what i THOUGHT was a live load, NOPE D+H! I LOVE BUD!

So I load slide my tandems scale it, hit the TS on my way by again for a few things then hit the road north at 2:15am.

Get to the shipper at 5:45am, they dont open until 8 or so they say. At some point around 7:30am i saw a BUD truck take off


Then at 8:05AM i get out to try the door again, thinking maybe someone snuck in without me noticeing nope. But While i did that another truck pulls in. He backs into the door next to me, and we get to talking. Cool guy lives 40 miles from there, he's got it made. He's a logger but his buddy shares his 2000 KW W900L with a 86" Studio Sleeper 600HP CAT, 18spd with him, when ever either of there normal trucking jobs get slow or they are bored one or the other will jump into this truck and find a load and truck till they feel like going home.....HOW COOL IS THAT! Full time local driver, OTR when he feels like it



Anyway so around 9:10 the kid in the BUD pickup comes back and unloads me. And the other driver is inside when i back in and he says "ohhhhhh so thats what those plastic boards are for"

He said I was woundering why they were laying on the floor!


He's been trucking 21 years, so i found it kinda funny.


Fun note, That KW bumper to bumper is 33 FEET LONG, his trailer 48" dryvan.


Anyway so then i headed back to conover, and called blue ridges to see if i could get a ride back to the terminal "nope were closed, but we cant help you"

So i'm like ok i find a ride, only 4 trucks there, all 4 had the curtians pulled! SHEET!


Well fine, i go drop off the truck, and walked back! 2 HOUR walk! WTF i was about dead by the time i got back to the terminal, I will NEVER do that again, next time a cab with the receipt in the next trip envolope!




Anyway so now im home for 10 days, got me some chinese food, a case of beer, and watching the race!


Life cannot get any better then this!

i told the manager guy, it WILL NOT leave till EVERYTHING on that list is fixed PERIOD! I sware if they tell me my breaks are only a little out o adjustment again, i WILL be calling Missoula.

I got carded! who'da thunk it! I could have handed the kid a bissness card he looked at it for .0001 secounds

Today, i went and got our Campsite, got one of the 5 left in the woods! only $100 for a BIG one (we get a good deal because we go there every year and the owner is a HUGE Ford Bronco fan and my dad drives a bronco lol)

Then I went and got my hair cut.

Then I came home and made lunch.

Then I went and peeled the cover off the boat (new cover i bought last year kicks butt! I love it) and then i went out and bought a new battery ($116 WTF!) But I did keep the old one. I bought it last year and only used the boat 3 times last year, but i'm putting in a Dual Battery System so thats why i bought the new one. Wasteing money is fun! haha


Then I watched some motocross.


THEN i just went to the store to get more food, and now letting my rice soak before I turn the rice cooker on. Im so EXCITED REAL FOOD. I'm makeing Au Jus Beef, White Rice, and green beans Yummy.

Now i'm Channel surfing....


Plan for tomorrow: Lake Wylie by 11am, I would have gone out today since it was 90* but the lake gets rough an crowded on the weekends, and i couldn't have made it out there till 4 or 5 anyway. I got the Camera and Video Camera Charging now, So tomorrow by the time you all park for the night I should have a video (or two) up for y'all to watch.
