I agree. Smith Transport has good looking outfits. I see them going through Delaware all the time. They're a company I would like to drive for in the future. I believe they want 1 year OTR experiance...correct roadhog? My wife and I are moving to upstate PA next year, and will be about 2 hrs north of their home base. How does your husband like driving for them so far?

A man in town used to drive for a company that had this truck... and I thought it was one of the nicest I've seen for simple "eye appeal". And although it was a company-owned truck, he kept it spotless.

I don't know the company... but the logo on the door was "Mitchell" and it had Jersey tags.

Thanks, MoneyCat! He's driving for someone else now, and I miss seeing that truck around. I thought it was really nice-looking. :yes2557:

I looked at their website and it mentioned that all their trucks have Qualcomm. Is the little round thing mounted on the top rear of his cab the transmitter/receiving unit? If not, what is it?

Keen, out of Pa.has nice clean heavy hauling trucks, they start you out at about 36 a mile and haul heavy equipment, seem to be a good bunch of folks driving them trucks for em..My youngest son drives for Pep out of gardiner,me,he drives a new kw,all chromed and decked out, they have some clean trucks and he makes over 46 cts a mile pulling flatbeds, they hire out of ne area,ma,me,pa,nj, maybe ohio, great benifits too.pay,160,sick days,160$ holidays and safety bonus of a penny a mile for all the miles you run in that year.Pay hub miles, pay to tarp, strap, chain, untarp unstrap unchain, pay you to drop n hook for each trailer, for each stop, son makes 60cts a mile on tarp loads for all they pay, also free safety boots, uniforms. Alot of tarp loads, too old for me to keep up to it,worked there for a little over two yrs,son has been there about 5 years now,I think.Just wanted to let you northern drivers know that company, also home weekends if you want to be,and electronic logs for most drivers there.

He's out of Roaring Springs, PA, I think it is one year. So far, he likes the company, everyone is personable and helpful. He had some problems with his truck and they took it right in and fixed the problems. They ask every Wed. who wants to go home on the weekend and he wants to, they send him this way. Miles aren't up there yet, but he's only been there 3 weeks, and with the truck problems that cut into the week. We'll see the next couple weeks how it goes. I'll keep ya all informed. Good Luck with your endevors! If you get a chance, go look at the Smith office in Roaring Springs, the building looks like the front of a Pete - it really is cool.
