For what application? If I were to buy a truck for sitework, it would be a Mack (a used one, made before Volvo bought them out). The VNL780 I'm driving right now has been my favorite road truck - when someone else is paying the bills. There's several reasons I wouldn't buy this specific truck, personally.
I tend to say that the International 9900i is my favorite, but I've driven only two - one was a tri axle daycab with a double frame, used for doing heavy hauling, and the other was an old Boyd Bros. truck I drove when I was in South Africa.
But, all in all, I could really give two ##### less about what brand the truck is, so long as it does what it's supposed to do. I've found thing I've liked and disliked about every truck I've ever driven. I've owned one truck already - White-GMC WIA64T, with a wetline and a 40 ft. frameless end dump. Had a guy driving that for the stock material runs from Garner, NC to Wilmington, NC while I kept my company job and benefits. Other than that, I have no intentions of owning a truck, so I don't worry about brand names so much.

Peterbilt 379exhd's and Kenworth W900'S .Ive driven these trucks a few times but was never a daily driver of them but I like these type of trucks with 10 inch pipes, lots of chrome and chicken lights out the wazooo and those nice looking gangster lowrider types of visors. Also very nice custom interiors such as chrome gauges, knobs, hardwood floors. Read this and go figure

I like my 99 Mack CH613 it is reliable easy on fuel and easy to work on. The company I bought it from said the older Macks are basically driver proof.

thats what i want as well, white would be good for me though with lotsa chrome...

Kenworth 900
Western Star
Petercar

Would you believe a Freightshaker Classic? Looks a bit like a long nose, but the best part to me is the interior reminds me of my 60's-70's Chevys. It just feels like a working mans truck.

Marmon ........Duhhhhhhh

One that doesn't break down 2 to 3 times a week. So far not a Peterbilt.

Long nose, traditional looking rig. I used to thing all Petes/KW were just awesome, but as I grow up a bit, I'm starting to have a keen eye for just the right amount of lights and chrome, vs. too much.

Whatever the company supplies is fine with me. Like some of the others stated...point A to point B and don't break down.
