No demise, I love my 10K and it tuned perfectly but, It made my truck look like a mobile antenna tower and I was always worried about breaking it at the car wash and drive-thrus not to mention I'm sure it was a glowing invite for thieves. I honestly did not notice a difference going from it to the 108". The 10K now lives on top of a 980 CAT and is working great.

I don't do much AM these days either FM ot SSB ..... And working on a pair of 5 elm beams for 2 FM ..... that will suvive Hurricanes ..... -
I like my K40 Flex whips pretty well plus there have warranty if you break them
