Air ride will lean more as it keeps equal pressure in both front air bags. But no if there are no mechanical failures and your loaded right you will be fine. It is an unnerving feeling I'll grant you but they are fine .
The first time you blow one of those bags be prepared to change your underwear
Oh and when that does happen have both replaced to avoid soiling two pairs of underwear![]()

I can't explain it...and evidently Volvo can't either!
I have heard of this from many drivers and they can't get answers...but it is directly related to the air bags on the steers. For some reason the road surface has been built with a steeper crown to the inside (for water drainage) and the front axle "sags" with the pitch traveling this bank of the road.
Be very careful when approaching a turn when in this "attitude"...especially a flat turn or a turn that has no "curve bank" to counter the crown pitch.newtrucker2011 Thanks this. -
Thanks a ton for your answers guys !

first time i drove a volvo--i thoought i was going to get sea sick in the wind---

but in the left lane you sure notice your left leanFreebird135 Thanks this. -
100% on the money with this statement.
I was passing an England truck (again, governed at only 65 and the speed limit was 70-75 in OK, so you gotta be going SLOW for me to pass) and as I went into the left lane, I swear to God I thought I was going to tip. So, the England guy decided to hammer down at this point, so it took me a good 3 minutes to pass him in the left lane, the entire time I am gripping that wheel and freaking out because I swear I thought I was going over. I was just praying for him to let off just a little and let me in ! !
I was riding so #### close to the right divide line, I swear a few times I almost swiped him - I just could not for the life of me ride the left yellow line.

Best habit you can accomplish for yourself is to learn to maintain the center of your lane. Once you get your senses accustomed to the center of the lane...even the tight construction zone lanes won't bother you.
-
True - and I pretty much have that down good. The problem is that when I drive my truck into the left lane, the feeling and the leaning so severe to the left causes me to naturally pull the truck back to the right.
-
That is the fun of this profession...we are constantly "adjusting" to the different conditions and trafficly (my own word) challenged motorists!

gotta be careful wit ur 24oz cup of coffee in a volvo.....when ur driving.....

I'm driving a 2007 Volvo now, which also has the air ride front suspension. My employer claimed it only took 2000 miles to get adjusted to it - I gotta call B.S. flag on that one. I'm slightly more comfortable with it now than I was initially, but that's not to say I'm actually comfortable with it.
