OTR is more irregular. But you do visit same customers repeatedly.

Crete was short haul and stuck in northeast a lot. Always a week or more late home. Beat up freightliner. Sitting and waiting for next load. Old trailers. Fuel optimization and opti idle was terrible.

 

Tropicana shut down for a few days leaving trucks sitting for days. So I took load offer to Minnesota of 2000 miles. It can be tricky getting back to west coast. We will see.
