Strouhal tire (713) 672-2666 ask for Robert
Stewart tire 713.947.8524 ask for John
They both are in Houston, TX -
I put on 2 new goodyear 24.5 XZA 3 steers, about 900 each-prices here in Canada are NUTS! I bought 8 new, virgin agressive Dunlop drives (dont remember the model) in the states, about 4k. Here they are about 6k.
With Mr. Sotoro in the white house, expect your prices to go up like ours did. Insurance is crazy up here too, but thats for another thread

Jeremy, maybe you should price out your tires with a relative instead of the tire dealers. I can you the 881's (the agressive Dunlop) for under the $4k mark and get a steer as good as those Michelins for $400 a piece. By the way, you won't be happy with the 881's. They are no Bridgestone, thats for sure. I'm going to spring the extra $ for the 775 next time for all of my trucks.

Apparently prices are up on average 92% year-over-year. This increase is fueled by both supply (or lack thereof) and raw material price increases. I'm told supply is the bigger of the two issues. With commodity prices moderating it should help slow down the increases once they make their way through the supply chain. But then again, what do I know
-
Oh I agree with you, its all his fault. The President of the United States caused the price for tires to go up in Canada. If it wasn't for him, we'd have fuel at .99 cents a gallon, the housing market would be booming, GM/Daimler Chrysler wouldn't have had to file for bankruptcy. Just terrible...

a little sarcasm there freigtlinerman, did I say he caused OUR prices to go up? No I didn't
. Don't be puttin' words in my mouth.
Regardless of where ya get them, they are friggin expensive; just like everything else.........
