I just inquired about a run across Canada, I found advertised. Toronto to Vancouver, and back, team, I am doing something very similar now.

I am curious more than anything...
It is a broker. Offering $1.52 per mile both ways, 4 times a month, team. He's offering a t-check fuel card? meaning a fuel surcharge?

I will call them tomorrow, but what I was curious about was......

What is your typical surcharge? at $1.52 per mile?
    round trip is 5400 miles.

I have never gotten a surcharge, never been in a position to get it.

FSC should be around .70 cpm for across Canada freight. Fuel is around $1.25/ litre isn't it?

Yup, at it's highest so far.
That is what I was guessing it was. Not a bad deal then I suppose.
My fuel figured at 5 mpg is .90

I actually get 7.X-9 on the flats.

    Thank you sir,

    R.

I think the T Chek card is a perk he is offering to you at a cost/deduction of course.

I am guessing this is to make it easier, the savings are instant, and the rest comes of my pay.

T-Card Fuel Card, nothing to do with fuel surcharge.

Correct, but it's not uncommon for bigger brokerages to have a deal on fuel purchases and offer "their" card to carriers to help them out and to help keep the rates down.
