Star Transportation

Hey driver, are talkin about star transport out of Morton Il? If so, I worked for them a few months back in 2001. You can take the truck home, orientation was about typical, rushed threw and not very thorough. They run primarily east of I-35. Now heres the bad news, I was involved in an accident that was not my fault, and Star tried to fire me on 3 different reasons. Once I provided proof to the alogations, they would find another way to fire me......first try was drunk on duty( I provided evidence against that) second was failure of drug test ( I proved that one wrong as well) finally they fired me on violation of company policy, which means that my log book didn't match the qualcomm....when I asked to see a qualcomm print out, they refused to show it to me, so I could not prove that one wrong as well. I never ran an illegal log book! Star did give me good miles, and plenty of time to get there. Back then the trucks REALLY SUCKED!!! No power at all! 310 hp Cats choaked down to 64 mph. I couldn't pull an exit ramp with out over-heating. Take this for what it is. At first they was a good company, but once you cause ANY type of problem, they will find away to screw you over weather its true or not!!! I'm still fighting with Star and DAC Services to have false statements removed. Best of luck!!
