I got a burn on my arm working on a truck. Went to my supervisor and reported it. I had witnesses to both events. Went home over thanksgiving break and it got infected. Went to the hospital and it got covered over workmans comp. Went back to work that monday and had to had in the info to the nurse. I about never heard the end of it. Then on top of all that they sent out a company e-mail stating that I did not report it and they wanted to write me up over the whole thing by saying that I did not report it. So do you want to keep reporting things just to be told that you didn't report it ot just not report it?

The VERY first thing I do ,when I get hurt, is usually fall to the ground and scream in pain.

last winter i come down a set of stairs from the loadin dock, walk in on about 2 inch's of snow. look over see a guy at another dock give him a wave, keep going to my truck i think to myself "boy it would be embarassing if for some reason i just.." and then i fell right on my back, smacked my head off the ground. i laid there for a second and i thought "should i scream and sue the store? this could be my retirement!!! i started grinning and i realized ah screw it, its too late to scream now.

they want you to report the accident, but some injuries don't manifest for a day or two. And if you did it on friday, well aren't you just a big ol'fake when you report it on monday morning.
so, report everything, something in my eye, broken finger nail, sprained muscle, sore back....and you look like a whinny sucky baby setting up a comp claim soon.
it's set up to make you at fault, and look bad.
then theres the whole modified duty....... talk about degrading.
Mr.Eds advise is right on!!! Scream bloody loud, so HR will hear you.

I remember I fell off the liftgate while delivering to a residential !! I was getting the lady cabinet on the Lg when I turned around I stepped off the Lg by mistake and fell straight on the ground hitting my back , head and messing up my elbow . The thing is that I don't remember how I got up , how the cabinet got to her front door or even when or how I closed my trailer door , put the Lg up to this date I still can't remeber and the person house where it happened at just happened to be a doctor and treated me there before I left to back to my terminal !!
