Okay I need some help, here.. From night to morning I went from having, headlights to none at all.. The bulbs arent burned out, there is only electricity on one prong on the switch.. No electricity to the headlights on either side.. I went to the circuit board and put,new relays in still no electricity.. I tested the slots in the circuit board and only one has current.. I'm stuck, any ideas.. I would really appreciate it, nights are a little dark...

Don't know what type truck you have, but I've seen several with broken wires in the harness where the hood hinges, after alot of bending they sometimes break. You can unplug the wire at the switch and unplug one of the headlights and take a continuity tester and see if you have continuity (you may have to cut a long piece of wire to use as a jumper), if not then run a new wire from the switch to the headlights. If you do have continuity, then I would check the dimmer switch, which can do this also. Good luck.
brenes-built and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
Sorry the type of truck would of helped....its a 99 pete... So the dimmer switch for the dash lights??? If I'm understanding right, if the dimmer goes bad all I have to do is replace that switch.. I don't have any broken wires either...thanks...

I had a similiar problem and it was the high/low beam switch on the floor but it was a 79 KW.
brenes-built Thanks this. -
My high/low beam switch is on the turn signal on the side of the steering colum..

I had sort of the same problem on my 2002. I had low beams but no high beams. After cleaning grounds, I found that the scews on the breakers in the fuse box had corrosion on them and the scews had viberated loose, so after a little brake clean and a stubbie pillips scew driver probem fixed
brenes-built Thanks this. -
So did you have to pull the breaker box out??? To get behind it... If you can you tell me how you did.... I think that might be my issues is that I have no current going to the switch...

Sorry for the delay, the dimmer switch that I was talking about is made in with your turn signal, all one unit and known to go out from time to time. It's easy to change if that is the problem, just a clamp and disconnect plug.Good luck

A dimmer switch,in the turn signal....its a 99 pete, I never knew there was something like that in it...thanks

This is the turn signal switch I was referring to, sorry for the mix-up.
