That's a riot. I'll do it for $2500, as long as you don't report me for wrapping my body in aluminum foil... prevents alien body theft and mind reading.

I did one of those (C1, Indianapolis), and I came out of it just fine. Still with the same company three years later. It's what you make of it. Maybe you just weren't cut out for it.

FTA is a trucking school in Asheboro NC. I recently graduated from there. There cost is not $6000.00 . If you pay them yourself it is about half that much. The $6000.00 charge is if you go through driver solutions. The contract you sign is through them not FTA. As far as them being a legit school. They are certified by the state to issue the cdl license. The are under constant review from DOT. A few months ago DOT sent someone through the school posing as a student. After he graduated FTA was notified and told they was doing an excellent job and they graded very high. So I would highly recommend FTA to anyone.

man what a ripoff....you could have driven an hour and gone to davidson county community college and paid less than 1000 and gotten much better training....so how many weeks do you get for that 3k? and how many miles in the seat when you leave?

DCCC also are 3rd party examiners and i graduated from there with almost 750 miles in the seat, and a good job with better than a bottom feeder before i even graduated. no contracts, no bs, and instructors that have got it going on, don't give you anything, and make you work for it and make you better coming out of the gate than most trainees

Ok, let me clear up the confusion a little bit. #1. Our tuition is not $6000.00. Whoever made that post came under a sponsorship program and signed a contract with a carrier, not FTA. #2. FTA covered every bit of the content in its curriculum. We constantly adjust our schedule to best fit the student first and then our company last. #3. I would not speak to the quality of our training or instructors if all you did was observe the trucks going down the road. #4. If you can afford to be out of work for an additional 4 to 6 weeks, by all means go to the community college. Our program is designed to get you to entry level status a quickly and safely as possible and get you in a truck, driving. Sorry if we don't issue demerits and look for ways to expell you. #5. Every instructor here has been here for 10 plus years. They know what they are doing and they know this industry. #6 FTA is in top standing with the NCDMV and the FMCSA. We have passed any and every audit with flying colors. Unlike the schools in this state that have had their doors closed by the DMV. #7 If our school was so bad, why are these companies lining us up to do their training instead of the community college or any other truck school in this state. #8 Yes the name does sound like a high school program, rings a bell don't it?

Funny how people can point fingers with very little substance to back it up. Blaming a training school for your failure is typical. If you sign a contract with a 3rd party and that third party sends you to a school and you lock into an obligation........you signed that contract, not anyone at the truck school. Maybe if you didn't have an "its everyones fault but mine attitude", you could have afforded to pay your own way through school and go to work with any carrier in the nation.

Usually, I don't respond to these post. But the number of inaccurate accusations led me to defend what I have worked for 15 years to build.

You are not locked into a contract with FTA. You are, however, obligated to the company that invested in your training.

FTA did not get over on her. She signed a deal with a carrier. That carrier sent her here for school. She is obligated to her carrier, not this school.

Now these last three posts by the owner of the school, sound a whole lot more reasonable than the original post. I still think that was either a troll or a crackpot. . .

NOTE: I know nothing about this school. I just know what looks reasonable, and what does not.
