I don't know if I had sleep apnea or not but I lost 60lbs+ a couple of years ago. I quit snoring. I've gained about 10 or so of those lbs back (sitting on my butt waiting to go to driving school:biggrin_25523:). Still not snoring, sleep like a log! I wake up refreshed.....grouchy as hell but refreshed!!:biggrin_2559:

Now I just wanted to share a bit of info I just got from my recruiter at Prime. I asked her about the BMI reqs and whatnot and this is what she told me:

"The doctor we contract with for DOT physicals does a screening for sleep apnea. He requires anyone with a bmi of 39 or more to have a sleep study done. That can be done in Springfield during orientation and the fees will be put on payments. If you do have sleep apnea, it won't disqualify you. You will just need to use the Cpap machine."

Now I know these recruiters will tell you anything they can to get you on at their company but I just wanted to share with you guys what I was just told. I hope it helps and I hope it will get more people to go to what I think will be a wonderful company to work for.

Also just told me this a few minutes ago:

"They don't require any up front costs for sleep study. They put it on payments of $55 a week once you get hired. You will need $100 entry fee to start the student driver program and $50 to get your permit"

Yeah I CHOOSE to sacrifice to go with a company that I know will train me right and pays me 4 cents more per mile than any other one. Think I would RATHER not do it? Well who would? Its a place to start for me and I know a few people who have made money in this company. Go to Swift or CRE, maybe they offer something that better suits you.
