I have no agenda at all. I'm not involved with the trucking industry, save for dealing with securing loads for some owner/ops that my mother-in-law can't help out. I could give two rat's butts if Knight keeps their people busy or not.

I've had friends, good friends, stand-up guys, who are still friends, that had bad experiences - right along the lines of what many others say.... and they're NEVER gotten paid to chase an empty.

So, when you roll in saying everything is peachy, with your two posts and adjustable experience level, the credibility is lacking.

If you don't like the fact that I'm disputing your story, feel free to use the wheel on your mouse and scroll on down the page.

Well Ronin, Id like to stick around and joust with you on this, but I need some sleep because I DRIVE tomorrow.

A few closing points. If you assume that because I am a five your driver that I am 26 years old with no other experience you would be wrong. I am nearly fifty. I have worked in other areas and even owned my own businesses.

With that experience I have noticed a number of familiar trends.

First, people who are successful are generally focused on what they need to do to be successful, not whining about what isn't perfect.

Two, there are way too many people in any industry that spend their lives standing around moaning about what they don't like instead of finding what they must do to succeed.

Third, no one wades into a fight without a personal interest. Mine is simple, I work for Knight as a driver and what is being written about here does not even remotely resemble the reality I know; so I have spoken up.

If there are 100 people on this site complaining about Knight, then that makes about 3900 Knight drivers who are either too happy or too busy to bother with this blog.

I stick by what I have said. If things aren't working out for you at Knight either look at what you need to do to fix your situation or quit and move on. If you quit, don't be surprised if the problem follows you.

Finally, if you have no personal knowledge about a company and you are just jawing about something someone else said to someone; then you are just making gossip.

I understand that gossip is popular amongst little old ladies at sewing circle. Are you late for for that gathering?

Why do people complain about the trucking industry so much?? Stop your complaining and find a new line of work, that's what i did. I still drive for a living. Just in the city, better pay, and home every-night!

    ronin Thanks this.

I never once took the time to give a crap what your life experiences or employment interests are, nor did I comment on them.

"Finally, if you have no personal knowledge about a company and you are just jawing about something someone else said to someone; then you are just making gossip"

First, these are my friends. They aren't liars or shills. And I've been at the TA in Ontario while two of them were so mad they could spit because they lost loads, taking all day to find an empty, a disinterested DM wasn't helping, and they weren't getting paid. This isn't old lady gossip, and your continuous and weak attempts to discredit them (and me) aren't working.

Evidently, you have some special "if you post good things on the forums about us, we'll pay you for chasing trailers" deals with Knight. They didn't have that deal.

It's also pretty funny that the new user name is also almost the same name as the Knight recruiter's YouTube account.

Which means you need to change the data on your cute YouTubes, most of our "service centers" don't have showers, or safe parking!

No it doesn't, the company I work for now has each truck detailed prior to reassigning it to a new driver. They also go over it mechanically.

Guess what? When I first started working for Knight they did to, oh how things have changed.

    ronin Thanks this.

Go back and read some of my old posts and you'll see I had a lot of nice things to say about Knight. Not nearly as sugar coated as your posts but never the less a fairly honest, pro knight attitude.

What changed? Miles, it got to the point where I would hang up the phone cry, yes, cry! Why? Because I was willing and able to work to pay my bills but Knight couldn't deliver the miles for me to do that anymore. My first year at night i averaged over 12k miles a month, my final evaluation was just over 100k for a full year. The most pathetic thing about it was i got more home time that first year then i did that last year.

    4. How can you test the low pressure warning signal?
    A. While the engine is running, step on and off the brake pedal.
    B. Shut off the engine and see if the air pressure leaks down.
    C. Shut off the engine with enough air pressure, turn on the electrical power and step on and off the brake pedal until the low air pressure warning signal comes on.

Yeah, Knight did that in most cases when I hired on too. They didn't with me, but there really was a "special circumstance." (They fired a driver under load and I "inherited" his tractor.) It was the difference in getting a truck in Denver right then, or having to screw with flying to Phoenix to pick up a truck. As far as I was concerned, it was a no brainer. They would have detailed it for me a bit later, but I was more interested in running miles than sitting on my butt and getting the truck detailed.

But I really do have to laugh at these Knight cheerleaders. They are just so ###### obvious. . .
