With all these threads about strikes, shutdowns, slow downs, etc. One would think that just maybe one, would have any effect on the industry. Nope not one national shut down has happened, nor ever will, because those in favor either can't decided on the issuses, or nor do they have a one voice to gather the flock and say do it.Shut em down on this date.
Talk all you want, it won't happen, with out some one stepping up, and organizing it .

None of this will ever happen. You cant get 3 truckers to agree on lunch let alone to shut down in any protest. As for me I will keep running no matter what, I need the money my truck is almost paid for (8 more payments) so any shut down to me is a bad idea. Besides if you dont like the price of fuel then do things to help yourself like tire pressure dont idle if you dont have to and there is no need to drive 75-80mph every load. If you need to drive that fast to make a drop then you screwed your hours up and are only hurting yourself.

I guess it was too hot for Pullover, maybe if they plan truck shorts day, but that's on another thread.

I dont care if every truck shutsdown, it aint gonna work. The government is outta touch with the entire human population, what makes you think they give 2 craps about just truckers. The "Truckers run the economy" arguement only goes so far. This isnt the 60's. Say we all do shutdown. Some will defintely get arrested for taking the cause too far. Others will be fired for their actions. So after the country gets back on track from this "massive shutdown", you the individual will bear the resposibility because now your record has an arrest or a firing on it. Now what?

who cares at least you will be in the history books as standing up for something you believe in,if things keep going the way they are we wont need trucks because there wont be any freight to haul and to think we could have made a difference,so go ahead and arrest me....but they wont do it before i can clog the arteries of some major city screw this government.
