Alot of people have asked me that same question. I havent figured it too the penny since the anniversary is my 1 year with the company and not my 1 year solo. I have another 5 weeks left before I hit that milestone.

I can say this - I have run right at 142K miles and still have about 5 weeks worth of miles to go and then I can give a 1 year total.

Hello all who drives for Millis. I've been visiting these forums for awhile now and been reading your thread Baritone. Very good job your doing on both your job and your videos and writings. Not sure if any of you Millis employees can answer this question, but I'm asking here first for i haven't totally decided what I'm going to do as far as a career change. I live in Fayetteville, NC. Do I live in a good hiring area for Millis? My current situation, I'm 53 years old, single, divorced, no kids. Spotless driving record, no drugs, just BP meds. I've currently been employed with the same employer for 13 years now. I'm shop Foreman. They are in the process of making some changes that I'm not happy with. So I'm thinking on going back on the road. I ran team/dedicated run for 2.5 years back in 1985. Enjoyed driving but left for personal reasons. I have no CDL. I realize I have to start from scratch. I'm not looking to get rich, just want to make a desent living. I won't mind running 2 or 3 weeks at a time but would like to have time off occasionly to see my mom which is 84 years old. Not to sound like a mommys boy but I know I don't have many years left to see her, hope I'm wrong, but she's the last family member I have. So some home time at least once a month is important to me. Would this be a big issue with Millis? Enough for now. My questions are in bold. Thanks guys,

You may have some luck with location since we have a terminal in Eden. The best thing to do would be call recruiting and ask them if you are in the hiring area.

Home time they are very good with. Some drivers go home every 2 weeks consistently. I myself hit the house between every 3-4 weeks and have not had any issues getting there. I hope this helps.

Bear is spot on.........check with recruting and see what they say. Ask for Alice or Reed. They both are great. Let them know you follow us on the boards also.

    Good Luck!

Well maybe not $186k but by the miles he has ran 142,000 * .35cpm = darn good money for a first year (and that don't include any bonuses he has got). And he still has 5 weeks to go.

I am ready to come on board I just got to get healed up first.

You have to remember one thing Baritone did stay out a few weeks at a time and if you plan on going home every other weekend you probably will not run that many miles. Even at that your first year you should still clear 120,000 miles pretty easily. Also Baritone past you yesterday on 865 in Indiana you got that truck looking good hope you like it.

Also to Bobmack you should have no problem getting home as i know we deliver beer to Fayeteville. Might be able to get on regional out of Eden if they are looking for drivers that far away.

I don't mind staying out. If the miles are there I will take them :biggrin_25519:
