Headed to Roehl orientation June 13 in Gary for Midwest Regional Flatbed. Was wondering if any of the flatbed tractors have apu's on them now. I didn't have one the first time I was there, got by fine, but was curious if they are putting them on now. The only ones I ever saw with them were the trainer trucks and I know it ended up shortening the sidebox on one side the way they had them. So, anyone know?

Most of the older (05-06) have them but there are some that don't. The first batch of 2011's that came in got apu's but anything they've gotten (or are getting) after May of this year will not have them.
The sidebox on the side with the apu is smaller by about a foot. -
probability says you'll have an APU. older trucks without one are increasingly rare. and you're unlikely to get a new truck, ergo. APUness is likely.

I was just talking with the guy that is dispatching my old fleet and he tells me 2 guys left for the regional fleets and they'll all have APU's on the flatbed side. PS punch Bill for me

Thanks for the information folks. Would be nice to have an apu this time around. I never could sleep very well when the truck was idling.
Meltom, any particular Bill I should punch for you? Or should I just start asking names and swinging at every Bill?

Sure, cause eventually you're bound to git the right one!

Gonna have to tag former-pumpkin Bill, since he's not in the mother-hen FM group, anymore.
Meltom Thanks this. -
I know a Bill I felt like punching once or twice. Lol
Meltom Thanks this. -
Ok ok I'm thinking it's not going to be in the interest of continued employment to go around punching people, not to mention they'll probably want to punch back. So I'll leave it up to you guys.
