    Well I decided to join the swift family. I wasn't sure it was the right path but being I just got my CDL on May 27, I felt this was the best option. If I would go by all the negative comments, I would be running from this profession. Any how my orientation is in Jonestown, 40 miles from my house. Was told Wednesday we will be assigned mentors. My recruiter send me a sheet with what I need. But Does anyone have suggestions for On the road? Also, haven't seen this on any thread but what is Swifts stance on Pets? Looking forward to making friends and learning all I can from all sources!

    Unfortunately no pets in company trucks unless you had one before they changed the policy.

    Littlerascal, I am fresh off training, solo 3 weeks now. Prepare for a lot. Prepare for patience and frustration. I don't know what terminal you are based out of, but my experience with phx has been horrendous. I would get your experience and go somewhere else, because Swift doesn't give a crap about new driver pay.
