If this is an every day occurrence, get bigger springs in your vehicles. If not, no worries, as I'm working on my second bowl of ice cream right now. hehe

I used to have this issue where I'd end up eating at Fast food joints all the ###### time usually 2 but sometimes 3 meals a day and one week I had severe chest pains and the wife brought me to the hospital. Wasn't a heart attack but the doc said if I don't change my eating habits I'll have one before I'm 30. Now I usually eat maybe a meal from a fast food joint but bring left overs from home which ends up being cheaper.

Depends on whose "no eat list" you're going from.

This kind of thinking is why there are so many 350 lb truck drivers on the road. There are lots of foods that are tasty and good for you. Steak, chicken breast (not fried), nuts, fruit, pork chops, yogurt...the list goes on and on. You don't have to live on granola and rice cakes to be healthy.

So I would rephrase your question to "Do you want to be healthy, fit, and have less stress, or do you want to have a moment of oh-yummy! once or twice a day?"

That's cool by me. That's probably what I'll have on my weekly cheat meal.

Meanwhile, I'll just have to get by on lean cuts of steak, baked potato with butter, and steamed broccoli. Darn.

My point wasn't to try to tell people what to eat....just that there are healthy choices out there that are enjoyable, too.

I had this giant eclair in WI a couple month ago. It was tasty and filling. This type of food keeps me mentally healthy.

And no, I don't weigh 400 lbs. More like 190 lbs and I'm 5' 10". REDD and Extra-terrestrial hill resident can confirm this, as they've seen me in person.

I get that there are tasty yet healthy food (I love middle eastern food). But there are also very tasty unhealthy food. I have both, just so I won't have any regret in case I get run over by a bus tomorrow.

Now if y'all will excuse me while I go get me a half-gallon of vanilla ice cream.

Certainly LOOKS tasty, Katz! I probably wouldn't have eaten the entire thing, but that's just me. :) really, the key is just finding a balance that works. If you can chow down on eclairs and ice cream without gaining weight, more power to ya!

1nonly, you're right. As long as you exercise and burn at least as many calories as you consume, there's no reason you cant have a treat or two.

Yes, I agree. I was 162 lbs with 6-pack ab back in 2004. 185~190 is good compromise for me. I have space-saver spare tire sized gut, but I can maintain the weight eating whatever I want.

And more power to you, too. I fully respect your and others' decisions to eat healthy as long as they don't try to impose their views on me (like our current First lady and NY mayor Bloomberg are doing...)
