As reported in the post below this one, I-29 has in fact been closed North of Council Bluffs IA to the I-680 connector.
I-680 West of I-29 is open, but with only Westbound. It is expected to go to one lane today and eventually close as well.
If you're coming North on I-29, your detour will be I-80 East, South of Council Bluffs IA to the I-680 interchange and then I-680 West to I-29.
More than a little inconvenience.
I-29 Closed (IA), I-680 Soon...

Not surprised, I came out of there yesterday about 17:00, and that stretch had a few spots where the water was less than 1 vertical foot below the road. Speedco was moving everything upstairs...

Here's a Map of the detour:
American-Trucker, jardel, Rockford and 1 other person Thank this. -
You weren't but an hour in front of me. I rolled thru there about 18:00 yesterday heading north -
I'd have been paying attention yesterday, I'd have offered ya a real bed, a real shower, let you sample the not-so-famous but good Alcester Steak House, AND given you an excuse to go around the SD scale!

I saw you were in Sioux Falls as I went through before daylight this morning. Did you change your can or have someone do it? Oh... we'll probably cross paths somewhere , I'll be in MSP and reloaded by around midnight or so, off to ND in morn'. -
I was in that area all morning today, making two pick ups.
And it was still raining... -
And it rained on and off in Eastern SD today as well... and the high water is still a few days off for the Omaha area. Not going to be a fun summer along the Missouri this year.

I didn't sleep last night.
Didn't shower either.
all I had on my trailer was one Dodge 2500 pickup.

I was only in Souix Falls long enough to get my canister fixed. It was raining, so I let Bosselman's do it. Ofcourse, I dod what I had to do at mm 42 to get myself to Bosselman's.... Saved a $200.00 from not having a road call and it was raining. I rolled out of there around 1 am. At daylight, I was up near Minot.
I'm in Fargo now. It's been a long day. 1.419 miles today. -
Ive got to go up thru there monday, hope they havent closed 680 by then. Gotta get up to elk point sd. Anyone know what the best way will be if they do close 680?
