driver who needs help asap

i think i would have been appealing that drug test 3 years ago--pretty hard to do it now--
there must be some smaller companys that will give you a shot--dont try the mega carriers--cause A--you have expirience
B you have been out of the truck for a period of time
i know it sounds stupid but thats the way they are--consider it a blessing in disguise

 

EXACTLY! This is your career, if you've been falsely acused, why would you not fight it, when it happened? Just walk away, and then wait 3-4 years before doing anything about it? makes no sense to me, amigo!

 

i would be flipping and pissing all over the place if it was me cause i know my pee is so clean it squeaks

 

Have you checked your DAC report yet? A failed drug test is a career killer for quite awhile. At this point, claiming innocense is probably not going to fly.

ive been off the road for three years no going on four Now suddenly you need help ASAP , as others posted you should have FOUGHT the DRUG test ASAP. Sorry but most companies ( the big ones ) will require you to do some retraining if not complete training as you were out of a truck for 4 years , if they will even look at you with the FAILED drug test..

 

Don't you have to go through an approved SAP after a positive test before you can drive a CMV again?

Better check 'cause I believe that's the law.

 

I don't know much about this kind of thing. I have never heard much about it either. If I tested dirty in a whiz quiz and knew I was clean, I would demand a blood test. It's too late now and I doubt anyone will believe this story true or not and I am not saying it's not true.

This will be hard to overcome. Selling yourself face to face will be your best hope. Try all the local companies around you. I wouldn't expect much by phone or Internet.

If you made a mistake, I almost think you would have a better chance admitting to it and taking responsibility. If that's not the case then I would not confess to something I didn't do.

I can tell you what I would do personally if I were doing the hiring, and it were in my power to make a decision like this. I would be twice as likely to hire someone who made a mistake and took responsibility than someone I thought was jerking my chain. It often comes down to a judgement call. If you can impress someone face to face you have a chance.

As Mgfg said you will probably have to go through some kind of a program. I do believe I read that and had forgot until he mentioned it. Even if it's not required it may be a good way to turn this around.

 

You can fail a drug test if your urine is to diluted. Basically if you drank to much water it can fail you.
