My recruiter told me that USX allows inverters and will even install them for you. What's the real scoop?
And, if you don't mind, could you please check out my other thread and provide some insight if you have any?

they will install YOUR invertor up to 1750w for free, nothing bigger and if you install it you will be looking for a new job
you can not hardwire anything into the truck -
Can't have a 2000 watt?

Someone over at my other thread suggested I get 2000 watts, though I'm not entirely sure why at this point... -
they allow up to a 1750 watt inverter im in orientation now but there are other guide lines they dont tell u about like the power terminal hook ups cant be closer then 4 inches but there are exceptions to this so u need to make sure id wait till u get there to find out from the shop

The Powerdrive (yellow) inverters they sell at Pilot are acceptable. The 1500 watt one is only $119 right now

I am not a trucker yet but about to start my CDL training in 2 weeks so hopefully by Sept. I will but I was just curious, is that 1500watt peak.
I already own a 1500watt but it peaks at 3000watt is it acceptable or 1500watt peak

or do I need the one you suggest and will it run a (small) microwave along with a cooler or small frig, and can I use it for a cooler or frig along with a TV and a Xbox 360?
I am really considering US Xpress to be my 1st job I like the fact you guys have the side cameras and Autos -
A 1500 watt inverter will peak at 3000 to start refer motors and such. That is a 1500 watt inverter and is fine. It will run what you need since not everything will be on at once. Do not count on an auto, all of the new trucks are manuals and you just do not know what you will get
