ABS light ON = there is a problem somewhere. If the system works right after repair done the light goes off once a vehicle's speed is greater than 3 mph.

i think abs wires need to replaced not repaired---iirc they dont like splices in line to repair damaged wires
now if they replaced the sensor for that dual--maybe they didnt set it right
if the dust cover is off--you might be able to push the sensor in towards the ring--cant go to far--it will just push it back to where it needs to be

Yeah, ABS sensor extentional wires are available of different lenth

Well, ABS sensors are available with different tails too http://inform.wabco-auto.com/intl/scripts/intl/drw/2/2846.pdf

If you change sensor I advice you to use newer S-plus sensors (441 032 808 04 ore 41 032 905 0), becouse with the same resistance (~1200 ohm) they have higher signal voltage, less interference and are not so sencetive to air gap and bent/damaget tone rings, rattle...

I have run into a similar problem with systems that use very low voltage, they can't really be repaired, just replaced.

to fix WSS is no reason. But low voltage is usually ajustment issue.

Wabco say to use small stick to push sensor to tone ring w/o drum removing. I tried do it on some axes with drum brakes and.... sometimes it is really easier to pull a drum.

how to check... DVOM is the only tool you need. WSS type S ore S plus senor resistance is 1200 ohm, old K-type -1800 ohm.

Why Wabco say to change wires. They are of outdoor use, very reliable comparing with regular wires, with sealed connectors. Twisted wire will be corroded in a year ore less. But there are good materials to fix any wiring, like German Wurth!
