    Okie,

    Well said.

I admire those that can do it. It is because of the drivers who can or those who have a will to learn it, are the reasons ltl's exist like Conway, ABF, RL Carriers, Fed Ex and Southeastern Freight Lines. Right now I would not want to learn it but someday I will learn to pull wiggle wagons.

The best Ive ever seen are the Hay Hauler field hands out of Yuma Az
They can put the best LTL hands to shame, they can back a set all the way around
the hay barns with the irrigation ditch on one side.

The majority are 17-23 yrs old :biggrin_2554:

for what its worth, can't see those short dollies behind the pup hooked to your tractor well either. to save some time when hooking up, I set the dolly close in front of last trailer of the load with tractor, then hook up to trailer next in line, back up and bump the dolly, hook up dolly then hook up trailer.

Prolly started when they were 5 sit'n on dad's lap. Use to run a auto transport truck and always got a kick out of the salesmen running up to the truck asking to get that blue unit off the top tier or something stupid. Sure you'll have to drive it off. Oh no they would say. This went on for about 4 years. Then one day in Mt. Home,Idaho a fella walked out and asked about a car on the upper deck towards the front. I said Sure will ya back it off for me. He walks up the ramp hops in rolls it off like he been a transport driver forever. I stood there like some Gaper. I said your the first guy in 4 years to do that. Guy looks a me and says"Oh I grew up on a farm".:biggrin_25514: Country folks can survive.

Backing up all the equipment everyone has done here is amazing. This is where a steering wheel holder can really learn how to drive. I can back up anything under my tractor, but after reading some of these pro`s here, and I will say pro`s, It will definitely be a challenge. Drivers that think there good enough at driving a truck, think twice, when they read some of these stories. I have enough years driving, and think I'm good, but when I read some stories here, I sat down and listened.

Sorry, this sounds too dangerous to me. I wouldn't try this at home, nor anywhere else. Supertruckers! Go for it! :biggrin_2553:

Get rid of the A-dollies, switch to C-dollies instead. I've done a little bit of backing with B and C doubles, but not very gracefully.. I'm a far cry from being an expert at it. I wouldn't even try backing 28' doubles with the short congears.. not without someone who knew what the hell they were doing to walk me through it.
