trade ya.
currently sitting in Ogden, WISHING I was sitting in Seattle, Portland or Boise.

I dropped there a couple weeks ago, lillian tried to get me to pick up a load in slc going to slc lol, would have eaten a whole day for 20 miles. First time I told them no.
-
all depends on how the company has programmed the system, but I do know stevens allows 3 miles of movement, under 15 mph before the E logs puts you on the drive line.
So when you see a truck pull out of the truck stop at a crawl, and crawl down the block and turn into a shipper/receiver they are trying to prevent their clock from starting. -
Welcome to the Aviary... where rants are good, and passing along information to other drivers is great.
-
usually it is me setting, and you running all over the country.

My week started out being a lousy week, knowing I would loose the whole foods load, and did on Monday in Amarillo, but after 2 repowers, I delivered into Dallas on Tuesday, and then the bad continues... Pick up on Tuesday, 3 drops, 780 miles, final on Friday morning... ughhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
But I looked at it again, and planned to be setting at my final on Thursday night, as there is a small truck stop, 1/2 block from the entrance to my final. So I ran my plan, with the CSR being a pain in my back side, him not understanding what I was doing, and I made every delivery on time, just not the stevens preferred way of setting for a day near the receiver.
Being in Western Iowa, next dispatch was a Tyson load, Storm Lake... Made sure I topped the refer off in St joseph the night before, and up the 60 miles to storm lake. DLD was Saturday, deliver in Laredo Monday...
Pull in, at 2pm, load is ready, so I grab and roll... maybe I can drop it at JO's and get another load.. Request that over the QC, and get told we shall see...
Saturday night get a QC message to hold onto my meat load, as Mico was not sure he had the drivers to make the delivery on time... Oh well... another plan shot to pieces...Head on into JO's sunday at 10am, and my phone rings, it is dispatch, I can drop my load, Mico approved, and grab a kraft load to Stockton...
So I spent a whole 2 hours in Laredo, but with my limited hours today, I am at the Loves in von Ormy TX...
My week, 2948 miles. -
What is JOs ?

J.o.alvarez the laredo drop yard with the swanky facilitiesCorporal_Clegg Thanks this.
-
sorry, thought all stevens drivers knew JO Alverez in Laredo TX, the stevens drop yard, with a "driver lounge".... free showers, free laundry, TV, a couple of worn out couches...
Have never spent more than a couple of hours there, always right in and out with a load.. I plan it that way, and have never set with hours available to move... and I don't care where the load is going, or how much time is on it.
Current load delivers on Friday... too much time if I had a full log book... but I don't, so it works for me. -
Just curious, anybody here see the facebook pages for Stevens Transport, and Alliance?
Another Major promotion.
