I'm surprised he knows anything, he had two of the worst dispatchers there between Adam and Tom.

 

learned through adversity, he also had a trk that lived in the shop... but he made it out of the tunnel and is now a top notch trainer

 

There ya go. Hope things are going well for him.

 

He does just fine and I was even his first student. But I already knew how to drive a semi so I think I was a great starter for him.

 

I'm just talking trash, I dispatched him for awhile. We got along just fine and when I was leaving is when he made the move to training.

 

So how interesting was it being a dispatcher?

 

I can honestly say I liked all but 4 of my drivers in 5 years. I see more crazy stuff now working in safety for another company. The worst part about dispatch was the lack of control over the loads we were dispatching. And dealing with guy like Pat

 

Howcome my FM named off a few states and told me to pick one quite a few times. maybe my FM knew the planner or somthing. Pat wouldnt be one to complain.

 

every now and then you have choices, I typically wouldn't share that choice with the driver. I figured it was better to get miles and run somewhere you didn't like if there would be a quicker back haul.

Pat and I had a rough start, but after that we got along just fine.
