I'm actually in agreement with the Otter here. While this is an example of what we have become and ibelieve that dressing your deputies like a Black Ops paramilitary organization not only portrays them as dangerous, there are those wearing this getup who begin to think they are paramilitary. But that's not the point either.

I read through the initial post and always thought I left something out. I realized what it was. The statement he made that horrified me. In conjunction with the tone of voice being used: "Just do what I tell you to."

Granted this was in your truck. But the same attitude they have will be present at a home one of these days.

Anarchy and Rioting in the Streets? Now who is blowing what out of proportion?

And I said we are on the way to a police state. If we continue to allow things like this case, or others continue on it does set a precedent, and it also desensitizes the populace to think such is the norm.

Ok, maybe I don't think her rights were really violated, she shouldve handled it differently, but also should the cop. They were both wrong I think, the cop being more wrong because he is the authority and he shouldve acted it.

Well when the police and military are training and having drills side by side, what are we suppose to think. Military industrial complex here we come.

Too late this has already happened. See above posts defending LEO's actions. Personally I always have doors locked and in a situation like this I probably would have cracked the window and asked to see a badge and things might have gone better or maybe the leo that just wants you to do what your told would have had a problem with that too, who knows.

Point its our police now think like military do and this is very troublesome. This is NOT an isolated incident, even though to you it might seem to be it is not and things like this happen all the time. Usually nothing happens to the LEO because this is how they are expected to behave nowadays all in the name of fighting drugs or terrorists or whatever the scare tactic of the week is. Sadly by the time the general public notices it will be too late, if they ever notice because they are too busy watching American Idol.

LOL I do like movies. I admit it LOl

But I don't think I'm the one with the over exaggerated version of events here.
    Please enlighten and educate me.

    Swift doesn't have lawyers?
IF a women driver makes a complaint to HR dept and raises a stink THEY WILL act. They have no choice. She can have a major lawsuit if they ignore her complaints.

Swift don't give two ##### about there drivers, I know. But that's why she would need to force their hand. Make calls, start filing complaints, rasie a stink. I promise someone will act.

    IM JUST SAYING:
If rights were violated then she needs to do something about it.
