Point its our police now think like military do and this is very troublesome. This is NOT an isolated incident, even though to you it might seem to be it is not and things like this happen all the time. Usually nothing happens to the LEO because this is how they are expected to behave nowadays all in the name of fighting drugs or terrorists or whatever the scare tactic of the week is. Sadly by the time the general public notices it will be too late, if they ever notice because they are too busy watching American Idol.

I do agree with this 100%

Here is the problem, this is not one rouge officer its a trend in this country. Filing complaints seems to do no good at all it just continues. Because of this I am left to assume these actions are condoned by the proper authorities.

In my experience in dealing with the police over the years things like this are normal, of course I'm from the land of king Daley and if you do some research you would find in Chicago police are known for doing things like beating on bartenders because they don't want to pay the bill, then when the on duty cops are called they try and help there buddies and try and convince those involved that it is their best interests not to purse the matter.

Like I said before the police are the largest gang in the country and they tend to stick together and protect their own. The problem here is not that the OP was confronted by the police or that they wanted to search the truck, it is they show up dressed like a military unit demanding that people just do what they are told.

Oh and I have no images in my mind of rioting in our streets, the average person has already shown they have no intention of standing up for themselves.

I'm not trying to derail or hijack this thread, but since we are on the subject and some people seem to think every thing is peachy...here are a few videos showing just a small fraction of whats going on.

Here are some showing military being trained next to police.

or look up Police State and watch any of those videos. There is a ton of information.

Much better to just pretend we don't know whats going on or else we might feel like we have to do something about it. If we act like we don't know we can plead ignorance. I seriously have had people tell me that.

Those are the same people that will be running to us when and if shtf. My friends think I'm a idiot and always call me a wacko for talking about this stuff. They say I dont know what I'm talking about, but then when I ask them to debate or show me I'm wrong they resort to attacking me and calling me names. And I'm like see....you cant tell me things arent getting bad, if you could you would have a valid argument. They just dont know or understand politics, current events, economics...but they do know who punched who on Jersey Shore...lol.

WE live in a great, safe country cause of todays leo and the laws we have here.. Sure some are bad cops but you have no idea what living in a country with para military cops really is like. I think Yemam , Russia, Poland, Somalia, are all appreciating residences requests.
Go live there. Maybe even Mexico will make you appreciate America.
Now excuse me. I'm going to mow my lawn in peace and quit with out fear of being robbed mugged, or assaulted. Then maybe burn some dead animal on a grill and drink a beer as I listen to rock and roll.

I had a similar experience at a hotel one time. I was on a temporary duty (TDY) in the Air Force, staying at an off-base hotel. I had a knock on the door at 3 am. The people were screaming "Police, open the door or we will break it down". I was scared to death. I didn't know if it was a ruse or not. I told them through the door I am an AF member, what do you want?

They wouldn't say, so I finally opened the door, holding my AF ID card out for them. They started asking me all kinds of questions about who I was, am I alone? What am I doing there, etc.
What I finally found out later was that the young hotel night clerk gal had faked a robbery, and said that someone from my room called her, and requested extra blankets. She claimed that when she brought the blankets to my room (which were laying in the hallway), someone robbed the cash register in the lobby.

I told the stupid arrogant cops to check the hotel phone records. No calls were placed from my room phone. I showed them my cell phone, again, no calls were made. The cops never apologized, or anything. I reported the incident to AF authorities at the base I was at. Evidently the hotel clerk quit her job that very morning of the incident.

Looking back on it, I should have sued the hotel, and the cops for making false allegations against me. I was leaving in a couple days after the incident, and never pursued it.

I know how you feel Injun. You are away from home, at the mercy of these thug cops. You feel violated, angry, etc. I wasn't roughed up like you were, but all the physical and mental anguish that they put you through, I would definitely consult an attorney, and look into a lawsuit. Hit them where it hurts, in the pocketbook.

Swift's, or any other company's, HR department won't have anything to do with a situation like this. They will offer the phone number to their employee assistance plan (EAP) provider, if they have one, and nothing more. They won't insert themselves into a non-work situation, which is what this is.
