Well today went good. I filled up CO2 cylinders and did my inventory for Air Gas. We fill only CO2 cylinders while do the rest. In addition, I informed my boss it was a good idea to order some supplies as we were needing more of an item. I was out by noon and did myself a picture of the fire engine. I'll find a way to post a pic of it as it was sent in an e-mail to me.

For anyone wondering how easy it is to overfill a fire extinguisher or a gas bottle, it is. We had a nice fella die of overfilling a fire extinguisher. His body was very mutilated as a result. He did not have a gauge to determine how much he put in the extinguisher. Very sad. I do not fill any fire extinguishers but do use a scale to fill CO2 cylinders. It is very accurate. Now the gas will expand in the heat and when they do so, it can startle you. I heard a boom followed by the hiss of escaping CO2 from the tank (all have fail safes to prevent exploding tanks).

Well today went well. A lot of times I make a new mistake, I have to remember I am learning. My boss is always reminding me this and I feel bad but thankful. He is very relaxed but firm in what he expects. A lot of the people I see know him and my big boss. I will say I enjoy my job and enjoy any challenges that comes up. I read that the people who are successful do stuff no one else wants to do. I like doing that stuff. If I have to pick up dead animals and crap, game on.

Well yesterday went well. I am learning a lot and finding out new parts of myself. I found out I can read people. My boss told me I was fast at when it came for food. Now, I took that into do you work fast, steady and good quality. I have said this over and over again and I say it; I am not perfect but will complete the job no matter the circumstances.

Anyways, I started out opening the shop and checking proper levels making sure nothing was wrong. I then was told get the gloves and moved 12 cylinders over to the designated area where we send them off to get refilled. I then was offered a way to redeem myself for a little mishap with metal polishing and successfully completed this. While doing so, my boss found a bug and had fun at my expense by dangling it over my head.:biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559: Oh yeah fun moments at work. After that I pulled ice blocks and ended the day by taking lunch with my boss. Note: Had the Florida storms not come, I would have had a full day mowing the lawn. However, when asked how early I could come in, I replied 5-6am and settled at 6am.

Now, I called my job coach, my dad and explored this job. One month employed here as of Friday!!! That got me thinking; I finally feel like I am growing up into a man. Now I know my disability should not be used an excuse; however, people with the autism spectrum disabilities frequently lag behind normal people. Overall, would not trade this job for anything. I love the people and the variety of jobs I do. This is not just a cashiering job nor just a driving job; It is 75% shop and 25% driving. I will try to post a pic if I can figure how upload one from my e-mail. Any how to's would be great.

Boss said to be in at 7am and I arrived 10min early. found out I was heading on a local delivery with the F350. Got my manifest found out I was transporting 500lbs of dry ice to a health facility. Time for redemption time. I knew this was a test and fortunately I was not nervous thus passed. Made the delivery on time and 25min we were rolling back to the shop. Round two of testing: Opened the store properly and passed test 2. The rest of the day went without incident and I celebrated my one month anniversary. Boss gave me 4th of July off and told me to stay out of trouble. Each day I learn some more and am proud to work for a family owned business.

Well things are good. Have worked steadily for the past couple days. Getting more familiar with the routes and the places we serve. My sister is going in for surgery tomorrow and my grand parents are not feeling well. Pray for them both please. Looks like my boss will taking a day off leaving me to cover things one day in a couple weeks. For all you guys who claim local jobs do not exist, they do and I am evidence of it.

    Well Guys,

Things have been going to well. I did see a couple of things that made me laugh a whole lot. I saw two werner trucks racing each other on I95 and after about 10min. one slowed down to pass. The other was when a Swift prostar did a u-turn in the middle of one of the busiest intersections of my county. If I was not dead set on time, I would have offered him assistance for directions. My sister did make it through surgery with flying colors though I am battling my own sinus infection. I see a doc today and hopefully knock on wood, a specialist next week.

Apple cider vinegar and cayenne pepper works wonders for a sinus infection. Use to get them twice a year until I started taking it. Havent had one in 5 years. Best part no side effects!!!! And Cheap!!!!!
