My wife makes me burritos that she wraps in foil and freezes. I stick them in my cooler before I leave. They slowly defrost and when I want to warm one up I stick it on the intake manifold for 20 min or so. Works out good!

I tried a crock pot on a plug-in inverter and have blown out two inverters. With the crock pot on low. I think I'll stick with my lunch box oven.

You need to match the wattage of whatever you plug into the inverter to the inverter capacity... plus some extra. If you crock pot is going to pull 100W, you need at least a 150W inverter.

The Burton One burner stoves are great for using on the truck , they dont take propane they use butane. DOT doesn't have any problem with you having them on your truck and all I do is when we stop at night we shut off the truck I pull out my tv tray, roll the windows down some and start cooking.

I am new to the scene but for my set up in a 01 freightliner fld120 70" condo I have a small fridge/freezer(2.7 Cu ft from walmart for $80) a small microwave (700watt cooking power 1050 watt draw from inverter from walmart $50) and a george foreman style grill (1500 watt draw from inverter with adjustable temp. from walmart $60) the microwave and fridge run off of a 1500watt inverter and the grill runs off a 2000watt inverter($150 and $200 respectivly). The truck has 4 batteries and we only use the microwave and grill with the truck running using both drops my volt meter to around 12.5 volts. The fridge stays plugged in all the time and the 1500 watt inverter doesnt even register a draw when it is running. A little research into small fridges will show that while they use around 250watts to start once they are running they only use around 60watts (kind of like an air conditioner). we can leave the fridge plugged in and the truck sitting for around 2days and it will start right up with no problem. The grill also has removable plates so after dinner we each take one to the bathroom sink and wash it while we are brushing our teeth and what not. If we are stopped somewhere without a bathroom we can just rinse them really well with water and wash them next time we stop. On a side note we did have to remove one of the built in shelfs to put in the fridge so this may not be an option for company drivers. We paid cash for the truck so we can do anything we want to it.

A small plastic wash basin (about the size of a kitchen sink,) a small bottle of dish soap, some water kept in a gallon jug for the purpose (I just borrow some from el truckstop-o,) and paper towels takes care of the dish duty.
