Thanks, Heirforce1.
I'm not sure why I hesitated seeing I've been on the road before. Got it worked out now and can't wait to get back there.![]()

That is GREAT news!!! Sometimes you have to sit back and really take a look at things to realize what it is you want to do!
Keep us posed on what's up and if you do go to orientation this Wednesday!!Wedge Thanks this. -
Hello Everyone.
I headed up to the Tunnel Hill terminal this afternoon to drop off some paperwork. As soon as I got there and turned over the documents, the lady in the training office said "OK, you're all set. Go into classroom B and continue where you left off."
Uh....Ok. So instead of repeating all of orientation, they put me in with a class that was already under way. I really didn't miss anything. I'm not complaining one bit.Tomorrow will be my last day of orientation.
So tomorrow is an 0800 start. Looking forward to continuing the adventure.
Thanks for reading.

Hello Everyone.
Day 3 of orientation is complete. In my case, because I came back after 2 weeks, USX asked if I would be so kind as to donate another specimen for the wiz quiz. Not a problem...glad I could be of service.
The results won't be back until tomorrow, so I get another night at the hotel, with a 0900 start tomorrow to finish up any remaining paperwork. But so far, everything is going along smoothly.
I was added to a Monday start orientation class which is pretty big. I'd say at least 50 people. Some of those don't make it all the way through. any inconsistencies are picked up, and in many cases, are a ticket home.
The Wednesday orientation class is much smaller. The class that started today only had about 25. I recommend that anyone who is going to sign on with U.S. Xpress, take the Wednesday orientation. There are less people, and you will be processed through much more quickly.
So far, all is well. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Hopefully soon you will be able to tell us when you get your trainer and where you are headed!!!Wedge Thanks this. -
Hello Everyone.
I'm in!!
After a mid-morning start, I was officially hired by U.S. Xpress right before lunchtime.
I called in to my training coordinator, we talked for a bit, and he has me set up with a trainer that happens to live not too far from me. My trainer will be taking home time for the 4th of July weekend, so it made sense for me to come home. I'll be calling him this weekend to set-up a time to meet and hit the road.
Overall, the USX orientation experience has been a positive one. Everyone has been polite and helpful. If all holds true to form, my OTR training should be just as gratifying.
Onward!
