I ran across a trainer with one of these guys last year. He had difficulty understanding English, and he'd never seen or used a computer before. He certainly couldn't be described as "Bubba."

Im looking forward to going with prime. I start Sept.6. I gave up my cdl and left trucking 4 years ago. So i have to start from scratch. I'm looking to lease. Does prime run coast to coast? whats the average length of haul? I Know how to keep my mouth shut and rarely turn down loads , but to much of the north east gets under skin. How much can I average after expenses... taxes, health care, everything. I know it can vary allot just need a idea. How many LO does prime have?

New to trucking... I applied for Prime a couple days ago and they left a message today saying i was approved. When i got the chance to call her back, she had already left the office and would be gone for the holiday and back in on the 5th. Needless to say, i'm very excited. Hopefully all goes well when i do finally get in touch with them next week. Just one question.... I live in Arizona about 20 min west of Phoenix, and i am wondering how often is there loads or routes in and around phoenix. I don't think i have even seen a Prime truck on I-10 near Phoenix, i have when going down I-10 to california... Would i have opportunity to even get home(i know its OTR and shouldn't expect often but it would be nice knowing that if i needed to get home at times would be available for me to do so) i noticed alot of posts with guys doing mostly midwest or at least nothing west of say places like Chicago. Like i said i am new, and i am still researching and trying to learn as much information as i can. Any comments and/or advice about Prime would be greatly appreciated. thx
