While driving through downtown Austin TX

While driving through downtown Austin TX, do you go up or down?

    I used to always take the bottom but the other day I was heading south and it was early in the morning before traffic started (imagine that!) so for a change I took the top side and marveled at the view of the capital building and some of the UT campus. Then I tried it again this morning going north and the northbound view on top isn't as great.
