Did you deliver to a grocery warehouse? Be nice and courteous and if that doesnt work tell your dispatcher your going to take the load back where it came from. They dont like that, and will get stuff straight right away. Remember your out here not them.

You've never been to Hunts Point have you? $20- $25 (been a while) to get in the gate to deliver!
-
I don't think so...
Mine was in Minnesota
Mikeeee -
why should the driver, or even a carrier, have to pay a consignee to get in the gate to deliver THEIR freight?????????????? theres no way I would do it, its not even the $20 that would bother me its the principle of it
-
i'm not sure how far the billing goes down the line. Like if it gets back to the shipper or receiver.
But if it is a big corporate park and the receiver is just leasing some space, then I am assuming it is for maintenance of the facility or something.
Just like when you get charged for shop rag disposal when you get service done at a repair shop.
Mikeeee -
if they lease it, they should pay their own maintenance fees.....
to me this is like me telling my mailman im gonna start charging him $20 to put mail in my mailbox -
I like all them ridiculous fees that go around in a circle. Kind of reminds me of that Three Stooges skit. Curly had and owed Moe a dollar. Moe owed Larry a dollar. Larry owed Curly a dollar. They all fought and fought over the dollar with slaps and eye pokes. So Curly paid Moe, Moe paid Larry and Larry paid Curly and they were all happy. Just like the trucking industry.
