It's more fun to waste your time, so I'll just keep it up. We were just discussing a driver that is relying solely on what the eLog is telling him. Common sense flew out the window, he's on hour 40 and thinks he's on hour 70. Something should be telling him that doesn't seem right.
Pull that #### GPS out of your Arse and drive!!!

The truth is that I have and use a GPS quite often.
I do believe that (speaking for my self) that they have the potential to make one stupid.
If you don't have to think you very often don't and that cant be good.diesel_weasel Thanks this. -
I'm not saying give up the technology I'm just saying dont let it rot your brain.fancypants and Meltom Thank this.

Clearly, I am not attacking you or calling you names. I am merely pointing out the hypocrisy of your "rules" and what you say in the thread. I guess what I'm saying is if I was so bold to post rules, I would make sure I lived by them.

Wow, I can't believe there is so many people on here that like to put words in other people's mouths. When did i ever say technology won't ever fail?
Clearly you have no idea what I'm talking about or awfully full of yourself and trying to be funny. I'm goin with option b.
Well, you opened the can if worms with your dullwitted first post but if we're gonna resort to insults, then I rest my case. I have no need to say anything further since yer doing a pretty good job of proving your intelligence every time you hit the "submit reply" button. Good day to you sir. -
Life moves on, with or without you. Your maps are made with sophisticated technology, GPS, satellites, computers, among others. Are you prepared to throw MCRA away because of this?
I use two GPS' and I have MicroSoft S&T as a back up. I have my MCRA, but to tell the truth, weeks go by without me looking at it, maybe months. I have my phone and my computer that will get me anywhere I want to go.
If all the GPS Satellites were shot out of the sky today, I would still get to where I need to be. As long as I had coordinates. I could get there if all the roads disappeared. At night even.
I embrace any technology that makes life and my job easier.
I don't care if you use a GPS or not. I do.corneileous Thanks this. -
Yep, #### all that technology for makin our lives so much easier.
-
It sure has, but when people use their GPS blindly as stated in the article they become stupid(er). I have 2 GPS's, a smartphone, and my favorite past time is geoacaching. I think technology is awesome, until some moron follows it and forgets it's the best thing on earth. You still need to use common sense and understand that all your technology may be wrong.

This is the only warning that will be posted. Keep on topic, and DO NOT insult each other. If it continues, this thread will be closed.
