3406 3zj42039 injector & turbo upgrade

Injector number 0R-8785, and a turbo through borg-warner the number is 199119.

I would really need your arrangement number to figure that out, there are multiple piston listings for your serial number, but either one could have been used in the later 425hp engines.

 

Looks like your engine has the 16.4:1 pistons due to its build date, they used these in the later 425hp.

The injectors I listed are from a 580hp industrial engine, I have heard people that have good luck with them, you could install these without doing any pump tweaks and see a reasonable gain, especially if you upgrade the turbo at the same time.

Dont go changing multiple things at once, do the injectors and the turbo, see how it runs, it may need the timing advanced to match the injectors, then if your EGTS stay cool you can start adding fuel via the screws up till the point it starts to warm up, then back it down a little and run it like that.

 

The strongest factory engine for its horsepower I ever had was a Cat 3406B PEEC 350 MultiTorque (One of the first).

81,000 lb Gross of Oregon Soft Pine East Bound up Elk Mountain in Wyoming. Drop 1 gear and top it at 45 mph passing Chicken Haulers the whole time. The more you lugged it the stronger it got and even at 1100 rpm it was as strong as 1600 rpm.
