I havnt looked. Just a rumor I heard. Has anyone looked at the new DD15 and DD16? I heard they came with a setup very much like a FASS from the factory.

I have installed the Air Dog Fuel Preparator II on my truck and have gone through one set of filters so far. There hasn't been enough driving to tell any real difference yet and I also installed a new Fluidampr Harmonic balancer, the fleetair air filter, as well as an OPS-1 Ecopur and switching to Schaeffer 7000 blend oil and Evans waterless coolant with 205 degree thermostats and 230 fan on temperature.
Since doing this I have seen a jump from 6.2 mpg to 8.99 mpg. This is unbelievable so I am going to do more driving and then update. I am estimating a gain to realistically 7.5 mpg to maybe a high of 8 mpg. The truck has around 350,000 miles on it and is running as smooth as a Cadillac right now with the Road King shocks, super singles, and all of the other upgrades I have done.
The 8.99 I recorded was with an empty trailer on flat ground over 720 miles. I also note that this truck never had any better than 6.5 mpg in its entire history prior to these upgrades regardless of an empty or loaded trailer. -
Did you do this all at once ?
Can you break down any of your gains ? -
I order all new shocks from road king last week, going to be doing the same upgrades to my Volvo D12 -

I bought all six shocks for the truck, the fronts are different from the rears, total price to my door $1,740.00 good for 500,000 miles ( the Road King shock have very good rebound control, which the stock shocks from Volvo only last about 50,000 miles or less ) and they can be re-billed so save your old shocks.
Nitrogen fill shocks only, no air. they are the best shocks on the market for class 8 trucks. -
I installed everything at a local shop with me as the guide. I went to a Parker hydraulics store and picked out all of the fittings and sealants then went to a shop to have them assemble and test everything. The main thing when installing the Air Dog II is to loosen the fitting to the engine or detroit fuel pump and let some air out then retighten as soon as the engine starts or the engine wont start because of the air in the lines. Once this is done the thing works like a charm.
I installed the OPS-1 at another shop and again the detroit series 60 oil galley access is on the passenger side near the back of the block on an area lower than an other galley which is on a machined surface with a freeze plug. The oil galley is not on a machined surface. I tapped into the oil plug on the passenger side of the oil pan. -
I like the idea of the fass or airdog but havent been sure about it but i want a few more good positives about either one before doing it

There is very minimal restriction in a Davco set up so I just wonder why would someone profess to be such an expert on the system not know that. The best thing about the Davco is you do not replace filter unless they need it.
A Davco installed as original equipment use to double the Injector warranty, does the air dog or the other one have any warranty enhancements.
If the fuel system is not sucking air, there is absolutely no need for another filter system and bleed off set up.
Installing a fuel return cooler, will give you more power, cooler fuel. There is no possibler way a fuel filter set up improves mileage. That motor needs electricity to run it and that takes fuel to turn the alternator. Now I can sell you some cow magnets that really work! -
Buy the FASS to save on the wear of your injectors with the a 3 micron filter and plus it can always self prime a motor too.
It might also give you a 1/10th or 2/10ths better mpg along with smoother idel and better throttle response.
