Just because u had bad time here don't lie bout company. I've been with Boyd almost two years now n make decent money. Could it b better? Yes, but so can other things. Can u make good money legal here?? Yes, just did it a week ago. Longest load was just over 500 miles for the weekend. Brought home 650 plus 50 advance through week. Don't believe me, send pm with email address n I will email u a pic of pay stub.
Not sure y people wanna bad mouth companies on here. U got ups n downs with EVERY company on the road. The best thing I like bout Boyd is they don't stay in ur tail as long as ur job is gettin done rite. Plus they know me by name, not a truck number. I train for Boyd as well so I c ur kind every day. I'm not gonna sit here n lie to u bout anything, these r my own experiences. Look through other post for other companies. U will see happy driver n unhappy drivers. It's all up to how u feel bout it.

who pays more to tarp than Boyd? not maverick, not TMC, not Western express...i know 18 bucks dont seem like a lot, but if you take 30 minutes to tarp..that would be equal to 36 dollars an hour...I know sometimes, the 18 bucks doesnt seem worth the aggrevation..I'm happy with Boyd, the only reason i quit last time was because of one person...and so far this time around, we are doing pretty good..lol...Ive done the 100 percent legal thing with electronic logs....talk about not making any money...GOD!!

I'm not trying to bash Boyd. I was only stating facts from my personal experience here. I think they are the best large flatbed company out here. Hytech, that's great if your happy but you have to keep in mind because you train they keep you moving. You also have more options for running legal cause you have two drivers in your truck. I can tell you my driver manager has told me to run illegal. I left Laredo on a Tuesday night at 6:00 and my driver manager told me to do whatever it took to get the load to just south of Gary IN by 7:00 Thursday morning. That's over 1300 miles in 36 hours, do you know how to drive that legally? Especially since I had technically been on duty since 9:00 Tuesday morning. I've been out for two weekends now, the first weekend out I had a 600 mile run after sitting in the shop all week. Last weekend I had a 450 mile run. Now this weekend when I needed to get home for my daughters dance recital they get me a 1250 mile run that I couldn't pick up till Friday morning. So that will get me home Saturday late afternoon and I have to leave my house early Sunday afternoon to make my delivery. Not to mention I had doctors appointments scheduled for Monday that I'll have to reschedule again. And yes I sent my driver manager a message on 4-28 telling him I had to be home this weekend. So maybe now you can see why I'm so frustrated with Boyd right now.
